Dedicated to Estesmybestie , kaylurking, nataliaromanovaswife , and cascadeoceanwave for the wave of comments y'all leave behind and for rolling with it every time I ask you super cryptic questions in your dms. Y'all are the backbone of my whole existence and I thank you profusely.

I think it needs to be said that my updates are half as often as they were in the beginning but my chapters are twice as long, so vote here whether you want 3000+ words twice a week or 6000+ words once a week ->
Please do actually vote though, there are at least 53 of you that dive in to each chapter and spend a lot of time with it, and even if you don't comment and I don't know who you are I still love you.
And anyways, I'm a real people pleaser, I'll usually do what I'm told.

Last thing, here's Joe's Spotify playlist taken straight from his real life Spotify.

"Bailey, for the love of everything holy, stop eating the dandelions."

Caroline's little cousin laughed and stuffed another yellow flower into his mouth, clutching another handful at the ready. The Signal video call went blurry as Caroline ran after him around the playset in his backyard.

"You know he probably wouldn't do it if you didn't make it so fun." Kennedy smiled, laid out on her bedroom floor. Her feet kicked shadows against the morning sun as she watched her best friend chase the little boy until he got too far away.

"The little twerp keeps darting under the bridge. Why are children like this, Kens?" She huffed, pointing the camera back at herself.

"I don't know, babes." Kennedy laughed.

"I am so glad I'm a lesbian." She flipped her hair out of her face, searching around for the kid. "You make me glad I'm gay, Bailey! You know that?"

Kennedy raised an eyebrow at her, and Caroline rolled her eyes back.
"I swear to god, if I ever have to be a stay-at-home mom I will simply perish. I'd rather work."

Kennedy shook her head. She could easily see that future for Caroline but she wasn't quite ready to think about how she'd fit into it, even if she knew she wanted to. She purses her lips in a finicky way until she found a sidestep. "How's your career project going?"

"I think I'm just going to put some bullshit about Machine Learning and call it a day. How about you?" She grinned sardonically.

"Finance management, what do you think I'm doing?" Kennedy mumbled. She set the phone against the leg of her bed and sat up, messing with her hair in the sunlight. She had almost a quarter inch of blonde roots and the conviction to see just how long she could grow them out before someone put a stop to it.

"I know that your family is all weird and shit because of the new money situation but like, if that weren't the case what would you want to do?" Caroline sat down in a swing, holding the phone down at her knees. "Like if there was no pressure to do or be anything what would you be?"

"I think I'd want to run a taco truck chain, or like, start my own brand of paper water bottles." She smiled, brushing out her hair with her hands, braiding and unbraiding it as she went. "Something stupid but gently meaningful with a little bit of design to it. I'd get to travel and do photography on the side."
