About an half hour later, we pulled up at my parents house. From the old skool music being played from the back yard, I can tell the party already got started. Giovanni grabbed the gift from the trunk and came over to my side to help me out.
Giovanni-Baby you starting to waddle more and more each day(He laughed)

He laughed some more then he comes and take my hand as he helps me up the porch steps. As soon as I opened the door, I seen Inny and Demetrius sitting on the couch stuffing their faces. Inny see's me and put her plate down to come hug me.
Innocent-Hey sissy I was just about to call you and ask where yo ass was at. I like your dress
I had on my yellow and black sundress that had flowers printed all over the dress. I decided to put on my gold and black between the toe sandals.
Faith- Thanks sis all I can really wear is sandals and sundresses. My belly is so huge
Innocent-(laughs) It'll be all worth it soon, hey brother

They hugged and Demetrius walks over to hug me and Giovanni. I think ever since they found out they are actually blood brothers, their friendship has became even tighter. After Demetrius hugged me I saw my mom and dad in the kitchen. I walked over with Giovanni right behind me.

My dad gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. But when he sees Giovanni behind me I felt him tense up.
Giovanni-Happy birthday Mr.Jackson

Beverly- Hey son-in-law, where is my hug?
Thank god for my mom, she cracked the awkward silence and the smile on her face said it all. While Giovanni hugged her and sat down the gift, my dad tapped me.

My dad led me to the bathroom where it was quite. I was nervous because whenever daddy would pull you to the side, he wasn't happy with you.

Frank-How do you expect me to like him when I saw how bad he hurt you? Don't you know he's just going to do it again?

I had no answer for him. Daddy doesn't know Giovanni's a drug dealer. I couldn't tell him he was trying to protect me. I'm just gonna have to lie to him.

Frank- I'm not going to forgive anything, I'm disappointed in you Faith. it was a stupid decision to go back to him. A stupid young man who can't take care of you. How is he going to take care of you and the kids when they come out?
By now my temper got hot. I love my daddy to death, but I was not going to let him talk down on the love of my life.
Faith-Daddy I'm not some little girl anymore. I am 19, engaged and about to be a mother. Giovanni takes care of me and I know he will go through hell and hot water to take care of his family. He is the father of your grandchildren and rather you like it or not I'm staying with him and we are going to raise our family together as one. You can't make me get rid of him because I am in love

At that moment my dad seemed to calm down. He and my mother got married when they were around Innys age and they fell in love when they were teenagers. Daddy came over and Hugged me and at that moment I knew we had an understanding, he would finally accept Giovanni.
We went back to the party mom, Inny, Demetrius and Giovanni were talking as we walked up to them, My father looked at Giovanni and raised his hand to bring him into an embrace. After they let go my mom came and hugged me. My dad went into the cooler beside us and got two beers he cracked them open and gave one to my king.
Frank-Welcome to the family
They clicked bottles and Giovanni looked at me with a question in his eyes. I walked up to him, kissed him and told him I'll tell him about it later. He wrapped his arms around me from behind and we enjoyed the company of my family until the party ended.
