Bid my blood to rise
To seek revenge upon they whom I despise
Bid my eyes to see past the lies
Of they who would betray me
Once my usefulness has died
The taste of copper rising
The sight of deep red life
And the end of all this strife
It's really unsurprising
So I welcome with open arms
The taste of copper rising
You thought to use me as your spy
Back then I was such a naïve young thing
So sweet, so innocent
But still, a free spirit
Took me awhile to know what that meant
You used my innocence
To your own advantage
Did you think I would allow this?
Well you should know
I'm not your average girl next door
You lied to me
Led me to believe
You would be there in my hour of need
But beneath your polished surface
I see your rotten core
Send notice to your next of kin
If they don't become a casualty
For now we're going to war
Now, we're going
To war
The taste of copper rising
The sight of deep red life
And the end of all this strife
It's really unsurprising
So I welcome with open arms
The taste of copper rising
The taste of copper rising
So I welcome with open arms
The taste of copper rising
