End Of Pathetic Peace, Start of A Legacy [3/3]
"They still aren't awake?"
Bokuto had arrived back from hunting for breakfast. It's been an entire night and not one of them woke up yet. It's already midday. With each passing moment, worry continued to grow as they anticipated for their friends to open their eyes.
Sakura shook her head. "No, but Naruto and Sasuke-kun have some responses. Uhm, Kaiden she's n-"
"She is breathing that's all that matters for now." Kuroo roughly interrupted. With slight more aggression than before, he continued to sharpen his kunai. The sound of metal clanking against each other vibrated in the air. His frustration about the situation made his usual laid-back persona morph into a more quiet and assertive one. The familiar angsty feeling of not knowing what exactly is happening and what the hell to do to solve it is the worst feeling he is forced to experience all over again. Flashes of stillness, grey, and ashes falling from the sky. It was the fall of Nekoma all over again.
Bokuto exhaled, tiredly as he reflected the aching feeling. What was more discouraging was his uselessness after Kuroo suggested he look into Kaiden. Kotaro found absolutely nothing but total darkness. Even unconscious, Kaiden was on guard. We need to find that scroll and get Uchiha to Miyuki-sensei. Moving one of the fishes he caught in front of the fire, Kotaro started cooking. He glanced at Tetsurou for a brief moment, who looked back at him and nodded.
"Haruno," Kotaro called, grabbing the pinkette's attention from Sasuke. Once she was listening, he continued. "Kuroo and I are going to find our scroll. If we happen to run into a team with your needed scroll, we will bring it back for you and your team." He kindly offered.
Seeing that both her teammates are down, she was clearly at a disadvantage. More so, considering she doesn't train as much as Kaiden did. This is the least they could do for her since both parties are having similar troubles at the moment.Tetsurou noticed the light in her emerald hues returning as she heard Bokuto say this. Sakura quickly nodded and bowed. "Thank you, Kotaro, Tetsurou! That will really be helpful." She showed her gratitude with a smile and respectful head bow, holding her clasp hands to her chest.
After the quick breakfast, the two members of Team 9 parted ways with the Haruno. But not before giving a silent prayer by the three unconscious bodies. The pinkette watched them off. Her eyes flickered back to the sleeping teammates. She lingered on Kaiden. The boys barely rested at all since the whole ordeal. They worried for Kaiden too much to do so. They truly care for her. She's never seen such a thing between friends before. Her thoughts strayed to her parents staying up until she was cured from a common cold. Sakura frowned as she connected the scenarios.
Kaiden has flaws to her appearance, yet they overlook it. Her strength makes her all the more commendable. But above all, she is a kind soul despite everything. And that exenterates her character even more. Sakura thought about every encounter with Kaiden. She's only ever been kind, just quiet. It's not hard to see why they care so much about her, why anyone would. She continued to muddle in her own thoughts as she neared the unconscious girl. Their interactions with each other are also different. They talk so casually, they rarely argue with each other unless its to understand each other. Those three don't just see each other as forced teammates. They're like family.
