In the complexity of it all
You've shown me you're trustable
And I've shown you gratitude
By melting in your arms

With every sting in the hornest nest
I try to find a drop of honey
Knowing it isn't your job
To care for my trauma

But it was you
You've caused the pain and suffering
Of the year I want to forget the most
The year of the dawning

And I stand in awe
In glory of the work you created
When I look in the mirror
And pause momentarily

My intelligence comes from your trauma
The things that you've started
I've learned just as you said
But there's a new lesson once more

Will it end?
Can I rest before eternal peace
Or will you always meet me
At our unofficial intersection
