Easton
I walked into the living room holding hands with Ava.
My mom and my sister had never been introduced to a girlfriend before. They knew Genevieve, but that's solely because they met her before she became something else to me.
I wanted them to know I was sure about Ava. And by the looks they gave us as we were walking over to them, I think they understood.
"Mom." I said, wrapping my free arm around her.
"Easton." She placed hers around my back and planted a giant kiss on my face, then stepped back to caress my cheek.
"Do I get a hug as well?" Asked Ella, all too excitedly.
"Come here." I opened my arms for her, and she nearly jumped me while I noticed Ava smiling from the corner from my peripheral vision.
"He never lets me hug him when I visit him at work." She says while facing Ava, who smiled even harder.
We broke the hug and I went back to where I was standing.
"Mom, Ella, this is Ava Brown." I introduced them, while they stared at her in curiosity. "Ava, this is my mom, Katherine, and my sister, Ella."
"It's so nice to meet you!" Said my sister, giving her a bear hug and nearly jumping her the same, making Ava let go of my hand. "I still can't believe you exist, I was in shock when he told me." She pulled away far enough to be able to look at her.
"Thanks for the leap of faith." I joked.
"It's nice to meet you as well." Said Ava, giving her a huge smile.
"You're so small! And your hair is so red. You're like a little firecracker, I love it." Said Ella as they broke the hug. My sister had at least three inches on her.
Ava laughed at my sister's compliment. Ella had no filter. She always said exactly was she was thinking.
"It's really nice to meet you, Ava." Said my mom, hugging her too.
"Likewise." Said Ava back, still smiling. She was visibly a lot more relaxed, which made me relax in return.
"I only found out about you a few days ago, but I'm really happy he found someone." She quickly caressed Ava's cheek.
"It's still very recent, but I really like your son. You did a very good job with him." Ava replied. I wrapped my hand around hers again.
"Thank you for saying that, sweetheart. He's always been such a good boy." My mom said as turned to me with the biggest smile on her face.
"Mom is right, Easton has always been a goody-two-shoes. Every time he got in trouble was because I made him." Said Ella, smirking widely to Ava.
I shook my head in amusement.
"Someone had to save you from yourself." I replied.
"And look how well that turned out." Said Ella, lightly punching my shoulder.
"You're welcome." I retorted.
"Sorry about these two, Ava." Said my mom. "They can't go a day without provoking each other." She said it in a disappointing tone, but she was smiling from ear to ear. My mom loved that we were close.
"It's the twin bond, mom. Gosh, get with it!" Spoke Ella.
"You're twins?" Asked Ava, probably wondering why we didn't look alike.
"Fraternal." I told her.
"I was born a hundred and twenty six seconds after him. Therefore I'm younger, prettier and way more interesting." She winked at her.
