"I still can't believe your boyfriend is some kind of business tycoon." Said Sydney, sitting in one of the fancy purple poufs in the dressing room of the boutique we were in.

"Correction; A mouth-watering, extremely fuckable business tycoon." Said Tyler, as he slumped all over the same colored couch.

"Who offered me a freaking job!" Added Sydney.

Easton had to work after lunch, so the three of us decided to go shopping before I spend the night at the penthouse, as I was trying to find the right dress to wear for Thanksgiving. I was going to meet Easton's family and I needed to dress the part.

"It was very nice of him, wasn't it?" I asked, smiling like an idiot as I was choosing a new dress to try.

"I still can't believe it. Pinch me." She said to Tyler, reaching her arm to him.

Instead, he grabbed her arm and rested it on his leg.

"But seriously, Ava. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I like him." Said Sydney.

"What she said." Added Tyler.

"I told you." I turned around to face them. "He's different." I paused. "Now, what do you think of this?"

I was wearing a magenta midi cocktail dress that had short sleeves and ruched in the front with a tasteful slit stopping in the middle of the right thigh. It shaped my body without being too much for the occasion.

"If boners could kill, I'd be dead. I think we found the winner." Retorted Tyler, making me feel much better about my decision.

"You're working me too hard, Easton. I can't keep up!" I said, panting frantically against him.

"Don't be silly, angel. It's almost over. You can take it. One more push." He told me, hovering over my pelvis.

"This is not what I had in mind when I asked you to work out together!" I scolded him. He had put weights on top of my center and forced me to lift them with my body after a long session of cardio. Way more than the usual run around the block I did every few days.

"I'm not making you do anything you can't." He reassured me. "It's only 3lbs because we're starting off slow. Once you get used to it, you'll be able to lift more."

"I'm never getting used to this." I scoffed, lifting myself up again with everything in me. Then, I fell onto the mattress and took the weights off me. "I'm done."

"Yes. With body lifts. Now we're moving onto arms."

I shook my head as hard as I could.

"No. I give up. You go, I'll just stay here and play dead."

He chuckled and lowered himself down to me, planting a long kiss on my lips.

"I'll let you rest for five minutes, and then we'll do arms."

"I'll rest for four days and then I'll consider coming back here." I countered.

"You drive a hard bargain, Ms. Brown." He said, planting a kiss on my forehead.

"I think it's more just the fact that you concede really easily." I said, running my fingers through his wet hair.

"That's true. I can't win when it comes to you. Which is fine, since I win by having you." He planted another kiss on my lips. "But on Saturday, we'll try this again. And you'll do body and arms."

I rolled my eyes before consenting. Saturday was four days away. I'd rather take my chances.

I tried to get up, but my limbs felt too weak.
