                Your Perspective

It was half past noon on a Saturday, and you were working your shift at the Three Broomsticks in Hodesmade, the only village in the U.K. that was made up entirely of people who had magical blood.

You had moved to Hogsmmeade right after you had graduated from Hogwarts in the year of 1979.

When you were younger, and a Hogwarts Student, you enjoyed the trips to Hogsmmeade that you would take with your friends Lily Evans, Alice Prewett, and Marlene McKinnon. Sometimes you would attend the trips with your best friend and next door neighbor Severus Snape, but only if you begged him to. So, ever since then, you made a promise to yourself. You promised yourself as soon as you graduated Hogwarts you would move to a nice little cottage in Hogsmmeade, get a job at one of the cute little places like the Three Broomsticks, get a black cat, and to start working on your novel. And that is exactly what you did.

A few years later, and you are still working as a bartender/waitress at the Three Broom Sticks, and are still working on your novel which is a steamy romance novel between a city dweller and and a farmer.

You make just enough to live comfortably in Hogsmmeade and you couldn't be happier.

But what would make you happier is seeing your best friend Severus Snape. You and Severus haven't spoken since the year that Lily and James Potter died and their son was almost killed by He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Their deaths took a toll on the both of you. Lily Evans was a friend to not just you, but to Severus too, before he ended up calling her a name that must not be spoken. You knew it was hard for him not just because she was a friend, but because to him, she was more than a friend, she was the love of his life, even if Lily didn't know it.

And you knew exactly how Severus felt, because you had the same feeling.

Back at school, you had the biggest crush on James Potter, and it was so big that you actually started to fall in love with him after he had saved your life. But of course, just like with Lily Evans and Severus Snape, you and James Potter were not meant to be, because James had ended up choosing your guys's best friend Lily Evans.

So, you could understand why he stopped speaking to you. It was just too painful.

But now, multiple years had passed since their death, and he has still yet to contact you. But to be fair, it's not like you had contacted him either, as you have been working on your novel when you were not working at the Three Broomsticks. But you knew that was no excuse.

You sighed as you started to wipe down the bar after a group of loud women had just left.

You loved the Three Broomsticks, but sometimes you just wished that you had chosen a different job, as it could be stressful at times.

"Hey Y/N," said your regular Andy, who sat at the bar.

"Hey Andy," you smiled.

"Could you get me a maple whiskey on the rocks?" he questioned.

"Of course," you smiled, going back behind the bar after cleaning up the counter.

As you started to get the ice from the ice-maker machine, the bells jingled, signifying another customer had walked in. You looked up and as soon as you did so, your eyes widened in shock.

The man who walked in was your old Headmaster, Professor Albus Dumbledore. He looked exactly the same.

Dumbledore casually walked up to the bar and took a seat, drumming his fingers on the counter as you poured Andy his maple whiskey into the glass.
"Professor Dumbledore," You said, handing the whiskey to your customer Andy, who had passed you a small pouch filled with gold coins as a tip. "I can't believe it," you said with a smile on your face.
