Third Person POV
Walking along the streets of Vale, a group of five students looks around at all of the hustle and bustle. Non-native faces in the crowd, banners welcoming these people being hung up, and an infectious cheery mood noticeable to everyone at first glance.
Even the usually grumpy Heiress is affected by this cheer making her seem like an entirely new person.
"The Vytal festival, oh this is absolutely wonderful." Weiss swoons, skipping ahead of the group.
"I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much Weiss." The team leader remarks, "It's kind of weirding me out."
"Same here, you don't plan on killing me today right Heiress?" Their fifth member asks in mock caution. "Or maybe I'm already dead, did you poison my paste this morning?!" He gasps.
She spins on her heel to face him as he awaits some kind of rebuttal. But instead, she flashes him a smirk.
"Not even your snarky comments can bring my mood down today, Neir."
"Oh really..."
He examines his opponent for a moment, determining what exactly he needs to say to prove her wrong. But seeing the genuine glimmer in her eyes he decides against it. As fun as the challenge would be, he was content with letting her have this moment.
Only this once.
"You win I suppose," He shrugs, dropping the act and putting his hands in his pockets.
"Huh? Am I seeing this right?"
"Shush Ruby, we're witnessing history right now."
"I never thought I would see the day..."
Neir ignores the comments and watches Weiss puff her chest out in pride and continue her march around the city block.
"Why are you so excited about this festival anyway?" He asks curiously as they pass by a group of people putting up banners, "And yes, I am genuinely curious and not planning to twist your words."
"What's there not to be excited about? This is a festival dedicated to the cultures of world, it's a chance to experience every city at once! There are going to be dances, parades, and even a tournament that showcases the specialties of the four continents, each more amazing than the last! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this, it's simply breathtaking."
Being forced to listen to her rant and having no real interest in the 'culture', Yang lets out a sigh.
"You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring."
"One of her greatest strengths," Blake adds monotonously, earning a chuckle from Yang.
Weiss doesn't even snap at the pair, completely immersed in her surroundings. Yang and Blake share the same look and begrudgingly allow themselves to be dragged along by Heiress' unusual whim.
"Remind me again why we're wasting our Friday afternoon at the stupid docks?" Yang asks.
"It smells like fish." Neir and Ruby say at the same time as the latter pinches her nose.
The former throws Ruby a grin as a way to call her 'predictable', and she throws a pout in return.
Ignoring the two of them, Weiss answers Yang's question.
"I heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today, and as a representative of Beacon I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom." She says with a hint of pride in her tone.
