This morning, the sparse clouds make way for the sun so its golden rays shine over the school of Beacon. The clear blue sky is empty and on display for all to see, but very few are awake to partake in the sight.

One of these people stares aimlessly outside he takes a sip of coffee from his mug, simply waiting as time ticks by. Only in the wee hours of the morning does he get to enjoy the quiet of his relative solitude. Though he likes the teammates he resides with, silence is a commodity with them so he enjoys it while it lasts.

Staring up at the clear sky and listening to the gentle white noise of the steady breathing of his dormmates, he finds a strange, unfamiliar peace surrounding him. There is no need to worry about sudden ambushes here, no planning for any immediate problems, and death sits at a comfortable arm's length rather than looming over his shoulder.

Letting these idle thoughts pass his mind, a rare, small smile forms on his lips.

He checks his scroll and notes there's exactly an hour and sixteen minutes until class starts. Which means an alarm should ring any-

*BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!*

The horrid alarm of Weiss' scroll that the others all collectively hate begins to ring, causing the sleeping girls to stir. He finishes his drink and tucks his electronic back into his pocket as he quietly makes his way to the door. The girls will need their privacy to change and get ready for the morning and as such he's made it a habit to leave early for their sake.

He hears a mix of grumbling from his teammates as they slowly, and begrudgingly awaken for another day. After quietly closing the door behind him, he meets a smiling figure leaving her dorm room at the same time

"Good morning." Pyrrha greets him with her hands folded in front of her holding her bag. "You're leaving quite early again." She observes cheerily.

"And you're waiting out here early, again." He retorts with no particular tone of voice.

"That's because you're always worth the wait." She chirps with a smile that reaches the corners of her mouth.

He flinches and blushes slightly as his mouth twists into a grimace, but he makes no comment. She always says stuff like this after all, so he's somewhat used to it.

Somewhat...

The red haired girl leans forward slightly to get his attention and makes an offer.

"Shall we go class together then?"

With no reason to refuse, he nods his head.

"As usual I suppose."

He begins walking off without warning so Pyrrha has to speed up quickly and then matches her pace once she's beside him. Keeping his head perfectly straight, he ignores Pyrrha's traveling eyes that scan his entire body up and down.

"Oh no, you forgot your bag." She points out as her eyes land on his hands.

He looks down, confirms his hands are empty, mentally scolds himself for such a simple error, and then holds out his hand to catch his bag as it falls through a door.

"Thanks."

She beams a smile at him as the two of them make their way through the still quiet academy and to their morning class. They don't break the quietness that spreads throughout the school and walk in a companionable silence side by side, never straying more than a step away from each other.

They arrive at their still empty classroom almost an hour before class begins but they don't seem to mind that at all. As time passes the empty room is slowly brought to life by idle chatter and the soft laughter that fills the room. Her smile brightens the classroom, even managing to draw out a faint smile from her ever distant companion at one point.
