The game continued as after Kagami blocked Midorima, once Shutoku got the ball again, he accidentally fouled Otsubo while trying to block the ball.
Kagami: 'I'll win, even if I have to do it myself!'
Fukuda: Just look at Kagami go! With him we could-
Kuroko: Are you certain?
Kuroko looked at Kagami with keen eyes.
Kuroko: If he keeps this up, I have a bad feeling...
Ryu: So you noticed too.
The game progressed as Kagami seemed to heat up, as he was able to get past Midorima, before jumping high to dunk the ball.
Kise: 'He's got some crazy hang time. I'd say he's slowly starting to approach Ryucchi's.'
Kogane: Yeah man, that is tight!
Kagami: Just give me the ball as much as possible.
Kogane: Huh?
Kagami: I'll do the rest.
The game continued and instead of passing, he just took the shots himself, AFTER blocking shots back and fourth. This brought the game much closer.
56-47 Shutoku
Ryu: ... We're back in single digits at least, but he can't keep it up for long.
Shutoku brought the ball up the court.
Midorima: I acknowledge your raw ability, but you will not close the gap any further.
Kagami: What was that?
Midorima got ready to shoot once again jumping.
Kagami: Oh no you don't-
Once Kagami tried to jump, he couldn't, allowing Midorima to score uncontested.
Ryu: There it is.
59-47 Shutoku
Midorima: It's the truth, sorry if it upsets you.
Ryu: Kagami's almost out of gas. Those super jumps are something new to him.
Kagami: I'll show you all!! I won't stop until we've won!
He drove up the court to score once again, however once he went for a layup Midorima blocked, allowing the ball to be passed down to Otsubo, who scored again. Ryu seeing this clenched his fist, while Kuroko looked narrowing his eyes.
61-47 Shutoku
The quarter came to and end as they sat on the bench.
Kagami: DAMN!!!
Izuki: Calm down. You need to refocus. Keep an eye on what's around you.
Hyuga: He's right. You pressed the key for that layup at the wrong time. You should've passed the ball.
Kagami: What good would passing the ball around have done?
Hyuga: What?
Kagami: I'm the only one who stands a chance against Shutoku right now. We don't need team building exercises right now, we need me to score.
Kogane: What? Are you for real? That's way worse than being self centered!
Ryu walked up to in front of Kagami.
Kagami: Huh?
That's when he gave a NASTY right hook to his face making him fall off of the bench.
