I was already halfway through my second year of Highschool. One more year and I would be off to college. Around this time of the year, the student council would be looking for new candidates to take over their roles for the school.

Voluntarily nobody decides to run for Vice President, for whatever reason, but I spent my afternoon before heading home to sign up and today I would be meeting other students that partook in the club.

I scanned the paper that was given to me by one of the school faculty showing me the names that had volunteered in participating in next year's student council.

President: Haise Sasaki

Vice President: Kyori Rei

Third year grade representative: Kuki Urie

Second year grade representative: Ginshi Shirazu, Tooru Mutsuki.

First year grade representative: Yet to be chosen in the new school year.

Haise Sasaki.... he's in my class. Apparently the club room was left open this afternoon so I would have the chance fo meet them. Of course, the reminder that has been bugging me very much is final term exams were coming up. I wanted to keep being placed in the highest class so I could make my mother proud and help out in the family which is partially the reason why I don't like to partake in club activities, also why I don't have any friends.

:::

The final bell of the day rung as I stood up from my seat and hung my bag over my shoulder to head towards the club room. Just as I was getting up to leave the classroom I was interrupted by a voice.

"Hey Rei! I saw you had signed up for student council do you want to walk to the room together?"

I turned around to see who had called out to me. Yeah, it was Haise. Everybody knew him, he was the energetic popular type in the school. Just being President would probably earn him some more fans.

"Kyori is fine, sure."

Haise and I walked side by side in silence until we had entered the student council room to see everyone else present.

I took a seat next to Haise as everyone else did and began what he had to say.

"Good Afternoon next year student council! I'm your future president Haise Sasaki! As final term exams are approaching and won't get much of a chance to meet up like this, I wanna explain what we'll be doing early in the next year. First we need first year representatives which will be one person, and we'll soon be setting up for school assemblies and trips. Oh and my bad, feel free to introduce yourself!"

"I'm Kuki Urie in class 2-2."

"Ginshi Shirazu class 1-4."

"Tooru Mutsuki class 1-2 nice to meet you!"

"I am Kyori Rei, in class 2-1 along with your president. I'll be continuing off Sasaki and state what you are here this afternoon for. Files are left in the drawers to your right with your name on them. Please have them signed before the school year begins, as it contains permission to the club in general and other following activities. Other than that, feel free to be dismissed."

The three representatives stood up and bowed as they grabbed their files from their drawers and left immediately leaving Haise and I alone.

"They sure took a quick leave, there's nothing much for us left here so wanna grab a snack before we head home.", Haise said.

"Sure."

:::

"Sasaki you didn't have to pay for my snack. Let me pay you back at least."

"Please call me Haise and no it's cool I swear!"

Haise and I exited the same station walking home now as I saw it was beginning to get dark.

"Kyori."

Hmm I hummed in response.

"Can we hang out? On the weekend, I mean discussing student council matters."

"I'm pretty sure I'd get attacked by those fan girls of yours. I am free however, so I will.", I said.

"Okay! Cool! Here's my number I'll meet you at Sendai station at 3 P.M! This is the way to my neighborhood, so have a goodnight Kyori!", he beamed.

"Goodnight, Haise."
