I yawned as I sat in our last class. I looked over to Haise who looked really focused which was funny because we were practically not learning a lot since today was the last day and I would get to see our rankings for the year, and our classes for our last year.

Haise caught me staring at him and looked my way and chuckled before dragging his attention back to the teacher. I immediately looked the other way embarrassed to have him caught me staring at him and instead looked outside the window until class was over.

:::

I stood in front of the ranking board searching for my name.

4. Kyori Rei
3. Haise Sasaki

I felt irritated that I had lost the bet between us even though I had nothing planned, but I was just about to snap even more once I heard a voice from behind me.

"Looks like I won Kyo! We're gonna have a fun summer I promise!", Haise shouted from behind me.

"Let's just look at our classes for next year."

I walked over to a nearby board scanning for both Haise and I's name.

Same class again.

"And I'm stuck with you again."

"It's not that bad! At least we'll spend our last year together."

Haise and I both walked out of the building on our way back home. I really needed a rest.

"About the bet.. I kinda knew I was gonna win anyways so I already bought our tickets so all I need you to do is show up at Sendai Station next Friday at 8 A.M!", Haise said.

I felt annoyed at his confidence knowing he was better than me.

"Fine, but can I take you somewhere afterwards please..?"

"Of course!"

"Also... I hope this isn't late, but you can spend the afternoon at my house."

"I was hoping you'd say that Kyo!"

:::

"Haise just watch the horror movie. Sit down.", I said.

"I can't I hate watching people being killed off so brutally!", Haise whined.

"Then I'm afraid your gonna have to go home."

"No! I wanna stay here with you, fine."

Haise took a seat next to me as a scene with suspicion background noise came on and Haise was scared for his life. When the character had been killed off I felt like choking.

Haise had completely wrapped his arms around my neck hiding in the crook of my neck. Of course I felt embarrassed, but I couldn't let him see that so I immediately shrugged off the feeling, however my heart was beating loud and rapidly.

"Okay, we're done watching Haise if you're that scared."

"Thank you so much Kyo!"

Haise clung onto me tighter my heart beating faster by the second, but dropped when I heard someone clear their throat.

"Kyori what did we say?", I heard my mom's voice.

I immediately pulled away from Haise explaining myself.

"Mom, it's not like that. Haise and I were just watching a movie and he got scared."

She glared at us before she turned around and left for the kitchen. I slapped Haise in the face feeling embarrassed my mom had caught us.

"What was that Haise?"

"Sorry you're just so hard to let go of!", he whined.

I leaned my head over to lay on top of his shoulder, but immediately went up when I heard my mom's voice calling us in for dinner, leaving a flustered Haise.

"Let's go Haise!"
