Lan Mei was with Yanli in the kitchen, learning how to make her signature Lotus Root and Pork soup. Although, she couldn't help but feel a bit anxious about what happened earlier. She didn't realize how broken this family was. Hers was already a mess as it was, but she felt like this was on a whole other level.
"Mei Mei, I washed your robes. If you don't mind, I redesigned it a bit for you since you are already growing" Yanli smiled.
"Ah, thank you Yanli, I'll—"
"A-Li"
Lan Mei flinched as she heard Madam Yu enter the kitchen, "Mom, is there something you need?" Yanli asked. "A cup of tea would be nice right now. I'm feeling extremely frustrated" Madam Yu angrily said. Lan Mei raised her hand, "Oh! I can make some for you, Madam Yu!" She said.
Yu Ziyuan noticed that Lan Mei was still wearing the purple and black robes that she found in Cheng's room. "Very well. I'll be waiting in the hall" Yu says with her arms crossed as she walked away, Lan Mei bowed and got started on making some tea.

Lan Mei made the tea and prayed that it will satisfy Madam Yu's taste buds. She did changed back into her usual white robes since she felt more secure with it on. She arrived at the hall and saw Madam Yu patiently waiting as she sat on Fengmian's seat.
"Please forgive me if you waited for too long" Lan Mei placed the tray of tea in front of Madam Yu. She poured some in a cup before Madam Yu took a small sip. She was actually surprised on how the tea tasted. It indeed satisfied her taste buds, but she kept that to herself.
Lan Mei smiled, "I'm assuming you like it. I've been making tea since I was a child. It was for my brothers whenever they wanted some or when they got sick. The disciples in the Lan Clan also enjoy it"
Madam Yu finished her cup rather quickly, "Be honest with him. How's Jiang Cheng treating you?" She asked the young girl. "He's been treating me very well. He gave me this Clarity Bell when he first came to the Cloud Recesses for his studies" Mei smiled.
"Thank god at least he's doing one thing right" Madam Yu grumbled. Lan Mei didn't seem to understand that so she politely nodded and took her leave.
"Third Young Master Lan"
"Hm? Is there something else you need, Madam Yu?"
"Teach Jiang Cheng the right way..."
Lan Mei was shocked to hear that coming from Madam Yu's mouth, preferably in a calming tone. She turned around and bowed to Madam Yu, "You can count on me, Madam Yu. I promise to guide your son to the right path"

"What Damned Wens took our 6th shidi away?!"
"Yes! The Wens have arrived in the hall!"
Jiang Cheng gasped at the news.
"Uncle Jiang is not here, we..."
"Let's go!"
Wang Lingjiao arrived at the hall and was disrespectfully sitting in a seat. "My tea?"
"There's no tea. Pour some yourself" One of Madam Yu's servants told Lingjiao. "Jiang Clan's servants never do any work?" Lingjiao asked, "Jiang Clan's servants have more important work to do. Serving tea is work that even a slave can do, no need for others to help" one servant answered.
"Your clan is too audacious! I came here under Young Master Wen's order. The hierarchy of cultivation clans needs to be clear" Lingjiao explained.
