Jin Ling and Jiang Liang found their dogs, Fairy and Lotus. Fairy was a male husky while Lotus was a female German Shepherd. Thankfully, they didn't end up mating since it was the last thing they wanted. Fairy and Lotus act like siblings rather than lovers, so everything was okay.

Lan Anhe was in front and Chen Hong was with the cousins in the back, protecting her. The young woman saw Wei Ying and some seller talking as Wei Ying was yelling, snatching some papers, "Wei Wuxian was ranked fourth among noble young masters! He was widely known to be a handsome, dashing gentleman! So who are you trying to draw here?"

"Well..." the seller saw Jin Ling leap and kicked him down. Lan Anhe and Chen Hong came rushing in as Jiang Liang was already next to his cousin. Jin Ling shouted.

Jiang Liang nodded and Chen Hong nervously sighed in the background.

Jin Ling and Jiang Liang smirked at each other, placed their fingers in their mouth and whistled. Lan Anhe facepalmed and Chen Hong was ready for the entertainment that was about to happen.

Wei Ying heard two dogs barking and saw a Husky and a German Shepherd leap at him. "Lan... Lan Zhan! Save me!" Wei Ying screamed and latched onto his side. Lan Zhan stared at the dogs, before they whimpered and stepped back.

Jin Ling let out a "Tch" and Jiang Liang started petting Lotus to comfort her, "Fairy, let's go!" Jin Ling walked away and Fairy followed him. "A-Liang, Chen Hong, keep an eye on A-Ling. I'll be tagging along with my brother and... Mo Xuanyu" Lan Anhe said to them.

"Are you sure? I can't leave you alone with someone like him" Chen Hong felt offended and glared at Jiang Liang. Lan Anhe smiled and placed her hand on her son's cheek, "Alright then. Please be careful and stay close to Jiu Jiu" Jiang Liang sighed in defeat. Lan Anhe hugged her son and nodded at Chen Hong, who smiled back at her.

"Lotus, let's go!" Jiang Liang walked away and Lotus followed him. Chen Hong and his pet, Bai, followed the young master and his dog. Lan Anhe turned back to Lan Zhan and Wei Ying. She giggled at pointed out to Wei Ying, who was confused until he realized that he was still latched onto Lan Zhan.

"So... did you catch wind of anything unusual, Hanguang-Jun?" Wei Ying changed the subject. "Last night, zombies suddenly ran amok on the nearby Xinglu Ridge, harming many of the mountain dwellers" Lan Zhan said.

"Then we need to check it out"

The seller from earlier suddenly stopped the trio, "Young masters, Lady, I suggest you avoid that place. Xinglu Ridge has another name: Man-eating Ridge. Rumors say that the Man-eating Castle, home to the man-eating monsters, sits on the ridge. Also, intruders would be completely devoured until not even bones were left"
