Crossing Worlds - Wyatt Lykensen

Mini Story : Seabrook Engagment Party

Mallory POV
A bit of time has passed since our return from Auradon, meaning a few weeks. And Willa, Wynter, and Ms. Lykensen came to Wyatt and I saying they had a surprise. Now our curiosity has lead us to being blindfolded and led out of the den by the three. " I regret saying yes to this," I blurt while Wynter's hand on my forearm and shoulder guided me on a path.

" Oh hush, you two are gonna love this," Ms. Lykensen told.

" Okay but who let Willa be the one to guide m— Ow!" Wyatt exclaimed as something hit him.

" Branch," Willa said blankly, Wyatt let out an annoyed sigh. I laughed a bit at the siblings. We continued on the path until when I stepped and the ground beneath me made a different sound. We stop but I take another step to try and understand the sound. It seemed to be gravel.

" Are we at the lake?" I question confused.

" Yes, actually, how do you know?" Wynter asks.

" The sound of the gravel, I recognize it. You guys did take us a different way which threw me off but yeah, the sound of gravel."

" I had no clue where we are," Wyatt admitted. " Can we take these things off?"

" Yes, now you can," Ms. Lykensen said with a more excited tone than before. Reaching up for the blindfolds we both slid them up to see a large group people in front of us.

" Surprise!" They all exclaim. Slightly shocked I grip onto Wyatt's arm but laughing when I recognize the faces. It's zombies and humans from Seabrook.

" What's this? What are you guys doing here all the way out here?" I laugh while Addison walked over hugging me and moving on to Wyatt.

" It's your guy's engagement party," She answers. " You guys deserve one."

" Thank you, guys. This is great," Wyatt says wrapping his arm around my waist. Looking around there were tables of appetitizers and other snacks. But a table of pictures caught my attention.

I start to walk over with Wyatt coming with me. It was a bunch of photos of Wyatt and I and in the center there was a frame with a picture and around in the empty space were messages from my Auradon family. " Guys, what is this?" I gush while lift the frame to read a few of messages.

" Just a little something for you guys to remember this day by," Bree said.

" But how did you guys get them to sign this?"

" We kind of took your magic mirror to call them," Wynter said awkwardly.

" And tweaked around with it to get it to work for us," Eliza added.

I turned to Wynter and Eliza, " You stole from me?" I ask with a raised brow. They gave me guilty smiles. " Good job. I didn't even notice."

They both let out a relieved breath. " I mean I learned from the best," Wynter said.

Bree looked confused, " Who's that?"

" Me," I answer while holding up a bracelet of Wynter's.

She looked down at her bare wrist with shock, " Wha-? How?"

" Was able to get it off you when you were guiding me here," I tell while giving her back the bracelet.

It started as an engagement party but it became more of a lake party and swimming lesson for Winnie. We just deep enough that her head was above water. Even though she could touch the loose gravel with her feet, she still was gripping onto me with all her strength. " Winnie, you're okay," I tell her.

" No, no, I don't like this," she says peaking at the water over my shoulder.

" I have you, you're safe. Nothing bad is going to happen." Her claws started to be gripping me hard enough to leave indents on my skin. " We're gonna start slow. I'm not making you dive in and figure it out."

" Promise?" She asks.

" I promise," I whisper to her and giving her firm kiss on the temple.

Wyatt POV

Looking towards the lake, I watch as Mallory attempts to teach Winnie how to swim. I couldn't help but smile at them. I love how patient and calm she is with her.  " She's gonna be a great mom some day," Mom said stepping up next to me and taking a sip from her cup.

" I know, Mom. But don't even start because we-"

" I know, I know. I'm just saying it," Mom chuckled. " But you were obviously thinking it."

Willa comes around, " Yeah, we were watching you give her puppy dog eyes to her." I roll my eyes and snarl at Willa, she was not hesitant to do the same.

" Both of you, cut it out. You're not pups anymore," Mom said getting between us. We both back down and look away from each other.

" Sorry Mom," we both say putting an arm around her for a hug. She chuckles and hugs the both of us. Laughing from the lake caught our attentions as Mallory spun Winnie in the water. hen they stopped they both took a deep breath and dunked into the water. When they came back up they let go of their breaths and kept on laughing.

My heart swelled at the two of them. The couldn't make me happier to see both of them happy together.
