Mallory POV
We hung around everybody basically having a prom. I introduced Wyatt, Wynter, and Willa to some of my other Auradonian friends. We ate some of the food offered as we waited for Mal to be announced. All the music stopped and our attention was brought to the top of the stair case by the trumpets and a spotlight.
" The future Lady Mal." Lumiere announces to everyone, then stepping to side giving Mal space for her entrance. Mal stepped out from behind the wall, everyone gasped at how amazing she looked, and she stepped forward into the space.
I broken the silence and started to clap and cheer loudly for my sister. The crowded then copied my actions and cheered for Mal. She then started her decent down the stair, and Beast came up half way and pulled her to the side so her, Belle, and himself could talk together.
Evie nudged me and nodded towards Mal. I immediately understood what she meant and walked up with her to Mal. Beast and Belle passed Mal to us as we came to her side. " How are you?" Evie asks.
" Uh...sorta feel like I'm gonna throw up." Mal chuckled, her voice shaking.
" Yeah? Okay, that's okay. Look, we're right her with you, okay?" I say reassuringly, she smiles and nods.
The trumpets were played once again bring our attention back to Lumiere. " King Benjamin!" He announced to crowd and we broke into loud cheers.
As Ben stepped forward we all bowed. " Go get him." Evie whispered to Mal and I gave her slight pushed forward. She stepped forward to bottom of the stair case, where Ben met her. Ben hardly even smiled seeing her, which is bugging me but it could be just nerves. They both bowed to each other.
" Mal, I wish I had time to explain." Ben said sincerely. The spotlight then shone back to the top of there stairs and Uma came out from behind the wall. The crowd start to whisper among themselves confused.
The wolves, VKs, and I looked to each other confused. Ben walked up the stair case and met Uma have way, assisting her down the rest of the ways. Ben and Uma faced each other, and Ben bowed and kiss his ring that was on Uma's finger. When he came back up the giggled to each other.
I scoff and bit my tongue, preventing me from saying anything harsh to Ben. Even though he deserved it for pulling this dick move. Wyatt came to my side holding my waist with one hand and lightly tracing lines on my arm. He was trying to keep me as calm as he could.
" Sorry. It all happened so fast." Ben said to Mal. " Something happened to me when I was on the Isle with Uma. A connection." Ben said the last part looking into Uma's eyes...lovingly.
" What are you saying?" Mal asked in shock.
" I'm saying..."
" It was love!" Uma giggled, cutting Ben off. " It was. I just... I realized how alike Ben and I are, you know?"
" We are." Ben agreed. Then out of anger my hair lit up, not it usual white flame. But a vibrant orange. Everyone who hasn't seen my hair ignited gasped in shock. Really the only thing keeping me from burning Ben was Wyatt beside me.
" Ben." Mal said trying to get his attention, but he was too infatuated with Uma. " Ben." she said louder, catching both of their attentions. " Did you go back for her?" Mal asked starting to tear up.
" He didn't have to." Uma said, answering for Ben. " I dove through the barrier before it closed and I'm an excellent swimmer, so..."
" You are." Ben compliment. I let out a slight growl, as my moonstone started to glow.
" Stay calm...for Mal." Wyatt whispered in my ear. I took quiet deep breaths until my fangs retracted and my moon stone stopped glowing.
" Listen, Mal." Uma said taking Mal hand. Mal gasped shocked and confused. " I just really want to thank you, I do. For everything." She then pulled Mal into a hug, Mal was in too much shock to even respond or function properly. " Thank you. Thank you so much."
