We are halfway through this story, because it was never meant to be that long, and the idea of the ending makes me emotional hahaha Either way, pleaseeee vote and comment. I love your feedback and I love you :)

Elizabeth:

It was truly an odd sight. My mother inside Harry's apartment. Her presence there was the symbol of what the circumstances could achieve. Margaret Winters was standing in the middle of a living room filled with millions in stolen objects, and yet she couldn't do anything about it because my father was way much important than Harry's felonies.

"So, can you please hurry up? I have to be in the restaurant in less than two hours." Mum spoke without a single trace of feeling in her voice. She was almost robotic, and for the first time I wondered how much the endeavour of finding my dad was taking a toll on her.

"You can sit down Mrs Winters. I can assure you the couch was not stolen from anyone." Harry smirked knowingly, making my mum's expression harden even more. Slowly, she took a seat on the couch beside me, never sparing me a glance, her full attention on Harry.

"We have developed a plan that will require everyone's help." His words were new to me, and I hoped that he didn't spend the entire night discussing that with the boys.

"Benjamin seeks mainly one thing: revenge. He is plotting against me, and most likely against Elizabeth too. It's obvious he knows about her involvement with me, but I am not sure how much he knows, and that is something deeply concerning." Harry stopped and gave me a meaningful look, as if asking me to stay quiet and listen to him.

"Anyway, our plan is as simple as it gets. Sebastian is our only leverage as of now, and I intend on using him." Mum nodded along, and I knew her patience was wearing thin, although Harry was going slower because he was worried about me and the kind of reactions I would have. So far, I had a feeling I wouldn't enjoy his plan.

"We are planning a new con." He announced, making my heart constrict at his words. Mum seemed fairly amused for the first time since she arrived, although I couldn't quite understand what would make her enjoy Harry's words. It was as if my desire to keep him safe meant nothing to her.

"It's going to be well executed, and we already have a target, but there is going to be one deadly flaw, and we intend on making Benjamin notice that flaw." Harry stopped and shot me a meaningful look, although it barely lasted longer than a second.

"We are going to lure him into a trap, and we will need as much help as possible, because even though I have a feeling that Benjamin is pretty much working on his own, I can't rely on a hunch, not when so much is at stake here."

"It's quite impressive how the con man stereotypic suits you perfectly. It takes a lot of confidence to bring me here and tell me that you will perform another robbery, all in order to capture Benjamin. Elizabeth, Katherine and even Jeremy may buy your act, but to me you're just a small boy, constantly seeking the high of his life, and I guess all those cons gave you a pretty good dose of adrenaline so far." Mum had the pose of a queen and the words of a vixen. She looked completely calm and collected, which was perhaps the main reason why her outburst was so shocking.

"Mum, aside from your particular point of view, Harry is still helping us." I spoke up, making her look into my eyes with disappointment.

"Your infatuation for this boy makes you blind, Elizabeth. He is not doing this because he cares for your father or you. I spent twenty five years inside that agency and at the end of the day, criminals are the most selfish kind of people out there. If anything, your lover boy is doing this for himself, Elizabeth." Harry watched us in silence, looking at me the entire time. He was trying to assess my reaction, see if I agreed with my mum or not.
