Looking around the place as she checks her left and right before closing the classroom door shut. Entering an empty classroom as she walks to the back of the class to take a seat. She had no classes as of right now, so she decided to make a short call with one of her friends back in her city.

📞 - calling 'yeji '...

'...'

"Hyerim!! Riri how are youu ~ you haven't called me for a week."
Her friend picking up the call as she spoke through the phone. Excited that Hyerim had finally decided to call her.

"Sorry for not calling. I was caught up in my brothers mess. How about you Yeji, how have you been?" She replied. Apologising to her before asking her a question in return.

"I've been doing well. Just got back from my trip in Japan. Met some relatives, and explored the place. Oh yeah, since I'm back. We should really hang out before school starts!"
Yeji said full of enthusiasm, but was only replied with an apologetic sigh from the other side of the line.

"That's what I wanted to talk to you about. I can't go back home, I have to stay for another two weeks at my mother's place because my dad went on a business trip to who knows where."

"Hah that's almost like a month!? So what are you doing then over there??"

"Going to school."

"WHY ARE YOU IN SCHOOL?! DON'T TELL ME YOU MOVED SCHOOL. HYERIM DON'T LEAVE ME ALONEE."
Her friend starting to panic. If only Yeji could see Hyerim rolling her eyes right now.

"I'm not leaving you yeji, don't worry. OK so long story short, I was supposed to go back home about a week ago, but my brother got sick on his first day of school and asked me to go undercover as him to school. A week passed and turns out that I'm not actually going back home, so instead of just staying at my mother's place for the next two weeks, my brother suggested that i go to school with him as an exchange student until my dad comes back." Hyerim explains throughly.

"But when you come back, you'd be going straight to school. You literally didn't have any time to rest." Yeji said in sorrow. Though Hyerim couldn't see her, she knew that the girl was currently frowning.

"It's not like I ever had the time to rest back at home either pshh." She scoffs.

"Well then, how is school there in your brothers place? Is it better than our school hahaha."

"Of course not. Everyone here is so weird."

"How so?"

"Ever since I've came, everyone has been treating me like I'm some sort of royalty or something. My brothers keeps teasing me that I've became 'popular'. That's really not the case here. I don't like the attention that I'm getting." She spoke truthfully.

"Isn't that you here as well? You're popular wherever you go. So how is that any different Riri."

"Come on Yeji, you should know this by now. I'm popular there because of my achievements and people learnt to respect me, but here. I'm popular and people only like me because of my looks, though I'm not even that good looking in my opinion."

"*sigh* Lee Hyerim talking so low of herself again. But I do get your point though. Do people there know that you know you're a totally different person here?"
Yeji asked.

"No thankfully... (*criiek!*). -- wait someone is here." She told yeji to quiet down for a second as she looks to the front to see if anyone was there. The door to the classroom slowly opening as someone enters. Peeking their head inside before flashing Hyerim a smile.

"Mark?" The girl called out. Seeing him entering as he closes the door behind him and walking over to her.
"Hi Hyerim. I saw you inside through the windows and thought that I'd stop by to say hello." He replies.

"Riri who's that?"
The sound of Yeji's voice startling Mark as he looks down at her phone.

"Uhh a friend of mines. I'll talk to you some other time Yeji, call me during the evening bye!" Hyerim answers before she hanged up. Giving Mark an apologetic smile before motioning him to sit down besides her.

"Oh sorry was I interrupting something?" He apologises. The girl shaking her head at him.
"No worries, I was just talking to one of my close friends back at home and did some catching up."
"Ahh alright then. You say, that was a close friend of yours right. Maybe we could be close friends as well if you'd like." He suggested as he took a seat besides her.

Hyerim thinking about it for a second until a smile appeared on her face.
"I wouldn't mind that. I usually don't like getting too close to people but I wouldn't mind if it was you." She said.

Gosh if you knew how loud Mark's heart was beating right now. "HER SMILE IS SO SWEET ITS GIVING ME DIABETES." Is what he muttered to himself. pathetic.
