[ the next year ]

A new year had begun. Haechan wasn't able to visit Hyerim and his dad during the winter break because of exams. The lad was of course disappointed. During new years he did not even leave his room. Instead of spending new years with his friends outside as they counted down until the end of the year, he spent it with his twin sister. Hyerim and him videocalling each other as they waited for the new year to arrive. Well, that was the last time that he had gotten in touch with her.

A few months had passed after that, and he had gotten a message from Hyerim after a long time. His sister inviting him to her graduation ceremony. Of course he couldn't oblige. He was planning to go there with Youi since the girl had visited Hyerim once in a while so she knew the place quite well, unlike him. But there was a problem. Once his friends had heard about Hyerim's message, of course they all wanted to come along with him. He didn't want to bring them all along with him, he was only planning to bring Youi with him and secretly invite Mark as well, but since Chenle kindly offered them the ride. Who is he to say no to that.

"Woah her school is massive." Jisung gasps. The group of friends being amazed by how big and different Hyerim's school was compared to theirs.

"Youi do you know where we're supposed to go after we've managed to enter?" Haechan asked, trying to not get side tracked by his surroundings. Now he could understand why Hyerim wanted to go back home so badly.
"We're supposed to meet up with one of her friends here. Her name's Yeji, she'll be assisting us here." The girl replied as she tried to search for that one friend.
"Oh I've heard Hyerim mentioned of a yeji before. But I've never known what she looked like." Said Mark as the lad pulled onto Chenle and Jisung's hands since the two were about to walk away from the group.

"Yo Hyuck you see that. Isn't that a picture of your sister?" Jeno pointed out as he points towards a poster with a picture of Hyerim on it.
"Weird, why do they have my sisters face on the walls." He snickers.
"Your sisters a bit popular here isn't she?" Said Renjun, only receiving a side eye from the lad.

"Oh there's Yeji, she's over there. Yeji!!" Youi calls out once seeing her. A girl with pink streaks in her hair looking back to see Youi waving at her. Smiling at her before heading over towards them.

"You've made it. Is this Hyerim's brother??... and who are the rest?" Yeji asked confused.
"We're her friends as well!" They all answered. Haechan throwing them all an annoyed look.
"They're my friends. Please don't mind them." Haechan sighs. Yeji only nodding.
"Ahh alright then, please follow me. We have to get the stuff in Hyerim's locker first since she wasn't able to get it."

All of them then following Yeji as if she was their tour guide.
"Why's this locker crowded with people?" Chenle asked curiously.
"This is Hyerim's locker. She's a bit popular here." Her answer making all the guys look at her in disbelief.
"This is Hyerim's?!"
Yeji couldn't help maintain her laughter.
"Yess it is, why are you all so surprised?"
"Because I didn't know my sister was this popular?! Wahh she's been living a double life. Oh by the way, why are they all surrounding her locker?" Haechan said.
"Since today's going to be the last day that she'll be attending school, everyone's wanting to take pictures with her. As well as drop off some gifts for her, a thank you for helping them throughout her school years." Yeji explains.
"How about you? Aren't you like bothered by the fact that she had allot of ehh.. fans?" Jaemin asked.
"Oh no, I'm not bothered at all. They all took pictures with me before all of you arrived." She said with a bright smile on her face.

Omg this girl - is what they were all thinking.

"Excuse me, please make way. We're here to pick up Hyerim's things. If you're all wanting to take pictures with her then I'm sorry to inform you but she won't be attending todays ceremony." Yeji announces. Receiving a few sad sighs as everyone left the hallways.
"What do you mean that she won't be attending today's ceremony? Isn't that the whole reason as to why we even came here for." Renjun questions. Everyone agreeing with him.
