I couldn't find her. My bestfriend, she had gone missing.
About half an hour later:
Walking out of the bedroom, i frantically looked around, hoping she would be by my side. But no, she has walked off, and now i can't find her. Shit. This isn't good.
Walking to the front of the house, there was a police officer there. I could ask him. Oh fuck it, here goes nothing. I walked up to him, "Hello erm sir(?) Have you perhaps seen my friend? Black hair, green eyes? Around 170cm tall?" He could tell i had lost her.
"Unfortunately, i haven't seen her, I haven't even seen her enter." He gave me a stern look, almost to ask me if she is missing. "Well, i haven't seen her either. I could call back at the office or her phone." I nodded slightly, getting my phone out, my hands beginning to sweat like mad.
"You could file a missing person report, that would be the best option since you don't know where she is." The police officer handed me a file, it looked more like a form, i quickly scanned it before lifting my right hand up and calling her.
Straight to voicemail.
I can always try again, i sighed as i lifted it once again to my ear. Praying in the back of my mind.
Again, straight to voicemail.
I looked to the police officer then to the form as i layed it on the wall, taking a pen, although it was difficult to write since the form was on the wall, i managed to do it. After i filled the form out, i handed it back to the officer, thanking him for telling me he hasn't seen anyone that looked like her.
It was stupid, i told her to stay by my side. I'll just head to office to see if she is there. My mind wondered towards the more negative thoughts of her being missing.
I got into my car and buckled myself in, quickly driving towards the office since i gathered all of the evidence i needed.
30 minutes later:
After worrying so much, i unbuckled myself and sped out if the car, making sure i locked it before i went in. As i went inside, they noticed me running. I saw some of them give me weird looks, but i couldn't really give two shits. My bestfriend is missing.
I finally reached my bosses office after a ton of stairs to climb since the lift was out of service, i knocked on his door, at this point i'm starting to become impatient.
He finally answered as he opened the door, looking down at me. "What's up detective?" He raised an eyebrow slightly. "She's missing!!" I immediately burst into tears, how could i let her go missing?! I was suppose to look after her. Its all my fault.
"What do you mean she is missing?" He frowned a little whilst patting my back. "Lena, she didn't follow me into the house, we reached the house and i go inside and she was suppose to be following me!" I looked at him, sniffling quite a lot.
"Are you sure she didn't just wander off?" He crossed his arms and kept patting my back. "No because when i tried to call her, it went straight to voicemail." I sighed, trying to calm myself down.
"Unusual, i will get in contact with the police and we will send some detectives down there, not you. For now, you need to rest." He gave me a reassuring smile as he stopped patting my back.
He then reached out for his phone and started to call, who i assumed was the police but anyways, i walked back to my desk and rested my head in my hands, thinking about where she could have gone.
I'm so stupid.
