Emergency

Time was 8pm and I was wondering why I didn't smell any food neither was my door knocked
I decided to go downstairs after I was done with my movie

On getting downstairs I saw my brothers and my mum sitting in the living room
Looking somehow expressionless

I got down the stairs and faced my mum " what's the problem?" She cleaned her eyes and said " your dad's worker called your dad to fly to Florida immediately"

I was confused " is that why you guys are sad?" She tucked her hair behind her ears and said " they said his boss died... and if it's true where would your dad get money to take care of the house and your college"

Immediate my heart got stiffened
My heart began to beat fast
Does that mean I won't attend college?
No it can't be true

I left the living room and I got upstairs
To my room
Lying on my bed and crying
Why does it have to be now

Tears soaked my pillow case
Poor pillow
I decided to be strong and wait to hear what happened

I went to take a shower and I dressed into a yellow heart hoodie and joggers and I went to sit in the porch

Looking to the sky not wanting any pain in my heart
I tried consoling myself then I started to sing
'Loved by mistake' by Aria

I got into the song and my voice wasn't low no more....I sang with all heart when I heard a deep guys voice
"Nice voice" he said

He was wearing a green polo shirt and. Jean trouser with a black Bennie
I looked down and said "thanks"

I didn't see his face since I was looking down then he came closer to my building "haven't seen you around before....I leave two blocks away"

I began to feel weird " I don't come out that's why .. and I'll soon be leaving " I added
He responded "ohh.....you going to college?" I nodded

He put his bag down on our grass and said " can we know each other" I wanted to but I had a mental condition don't want to make him hate me

So, I stood and said " maybe another day...my brothers are home " he nodded" it's ok... we'll see tomorrow yeah?" I nodded and he left ,so I moved into the house
As my heart was pounding

Getting to the sitting room Victor and Valentino were playing FIFA on the ps 4
As I walked pass them Victor said " come sit with us" I took a deep breath
Sliding my hands int my pocket I said

" My college is at stake and you want me to sit here to play FIFA?" They paused the  game and looked at me
Valentino said " then go find a fucking job"

Tears formed in my eyes " I'm 18" Victor cocked his brow " and so?... if you wanna go college...you gotta work" I cut him " work where....where would a 17 year old be allowed to work?"

Valentino said " in  a coffee shop...in a restaurant.. don't think of working night " I shook my head in disappointment and hurriedly walked up to my room

How am I supposed to work and earn before  next 3 weeks
The lowest college amount in New York City for private is $3000
How am I going to do it

I have Anthropophobia , how would I stay around people?
Sweat formed on my head as I began to pant

My head was already aching
Maybe I should get 2 or 3 works I can do at different hours so I can earn more

But what place would allow me?
That thought made me panic the more

I laid on my bed and I let sleep take control of me

Victor and Valentino were still playing FIFA when thier mum ran out of the room
" Boys..we have a problem"
Victor: what is it mum

Mum: they said your dad was the closest to him now they are going to block the Shoms account from any transactions "

Valentino rolled his eyes " obviously it's from transaction....I'll open a new account with my reserve new number then we'll send all our money in there"

They did the account opening and thankfully it worked
Victor had $300,000

And thier mum had $450,000

They sat in the living room then Mrs Shoms said " don't you think we should help your sister with college?"

Valentino said " oh no ..she needs to learn to work"
Mrs Shoms said " she's just 17...men would take advantage of her"

Victor said " then she would learn The hard way...I have things I want to use my money to do ". Mrs Shoms took a deep breath and said "she's your only sister "
But they didn't say anything
She stood and  left for her room

Valentino "it's not like I don't want to help our lil sis ..but she got to learn how to work for what she wants"

They continued talking and talking till it was 1:14am and they slept off
