While the five were walking out of Jo bean's coffee shop and towards the dragon graffiti to inspect their new lead, Grendan pulled Jancy aside for a second.

"Hey, I know you don't remember much, and this obviously isn't a demand, but could you maybe also use any pronouns and Grenda as well as Grendan for me. I discovered quite a bit about myself ever since solving our first case and I wasn't sure if you remembered, so I just wanted to tell you", they blurted out.

Jancy turned to look at her. "While this isn't relevant to the case", she stated, "I'm happy that you told me" With that the two caught up with the group, but grandma could have sworn he saw a smile on the detectives lips right as she turned away.

"Finally, out of Gareville!", York yelled in celebration. "We did it!", Rosé and Grendan joined in. "Indeed, another case solved", Jancy agreed. "And I can finally go back to my life, now that I remember! Thank you guys", Eugene exclaimed.

"But you will visit us, right?", Rosé asked with a stern look on her face. "Definitely", Eugene agreed, "now come here before I have to clue in the others" He wrapped his arms around his new found 'parents' who all laughed as they were pulled in the sweetest group hug.

Jancy just watched since everybody knew she wasn't a fan of physical affection. Just then the taxi Jancy called for them pulled up infront of the building Eugene's office was in, so the detectives said their goodbyes and were ready to leave.

Except Grendan, they seemed a bit unsure looking back at the room they just appeared . "Come on, grandma!", Rosé yelled at him. "In a bit", xe responded and kept looking back sadly.

"Whats wrong?", Jancy asked suddenly standing next to him. "I kinda miss the people we met in there, the awesome places like the video game we were in or the infinity stables at the joust house", they ranted.

Jancy sighed and looked at her softly. "Nothing ever stays the same, Grenda", she explained, "What stays are the memories and the connections we make, I am sure the friends you made will want to meet up again and if they don't their loss, now lets get going!"

Grenda nodded quietly, a smile slowly forming on their face, while she followed Jancy back to the others.
