Chapter 3

A/N
I completely forgot about this story and I might start writing it again but I'm not sure when i would post since schools not out yet! Hopefully I'll have time over the summer to write this!

Steve's POV
I was getting ready for me and Jonathan's date until he texted me

Jonathan
J: On my way now, be there in about 10 minutes

Shit. I thought as I rushed around the house grabbing everything I needed since I spent a half an hour on my hair already. I grabbed a bag and stuffed it with my belongings and then I heard a knock at the door, I once again rushed down the stairs and opened the door quickly while panting heavily. "Hey, you doing okay?" He asked me "uh, yeah! Just wasn't expecting you so soon" I replied "oh well are you ready or do you need a minute?" He asked "no I'm ready now" I told him as I started walking out of the house and locking the door.

In the car it was a little awkward in the beginning but then I made a little yet embarrassing conversation "So you like swimming?" I asked him but then quickly got embarrassed of course he does, he invited you to go swimming I thought "oh yeah, loved it ever since I was little" he replied "did you know billy works there?" I asked him "he does?" Jonathan replied but instead of smiling he looked a little annoyed "yeah.. lifeguard" I said confused "cool I guess" he said getting less enthusiastic with every word. Soon enough we arrived at the pool and Jonathan was more talkative once again "hurry up! Your going swimming, your hairs gonna get messed up anyway!" Jonathan said while I was at the mirror fixing my hair "doesn't matter, I need to look good at all times" I told him and he seemed to not like that reply since he mad a noise a little kid would make when your mom would say no to something you wanted in the shop.

Jonathan's POV
I wasn't exactly excited to go swimming because apparently Billy works at the pool and I'm not sure if Steve knows or not but me and Billy never had a good past, it was always him picking on me and I doubt we would ever be able to get along.
Steve finished doing his hair about 15 minutes later so it was finally time to get out to the pool and there I saw Billy Hargrove sitting on top of the lifeguard chair watching everyone. I saw his eyes lock onto me and Steve as he climbed down "hey Jonathan! Hey Steve!" Billy said faking a smile "hey Billy" Steve replied just trying to get what he needed from his bag "you wouldn't mind if I took Jonathan for a moment right? No? Okay thanks!" Billy said before Steve could even reply "you know I like Steve don't you tough guy." Billy said to me "me and Steve are just friends" I told his nervously "you better be or else things might get a little messy here." Billy whispered in my ear "well we should probably get back out there before Steve starts worrying, shouldn't we" Billy said walking away "yeah.." I said mumbling under my breath.
I started following a bit behind Billy back to the pool area except I didn't see Steve, however I did hear a smack followed by a thud right by the entrance of the pool area, I also happened to see Steve running towards me with security chasing after him "RUN" he yelled so I decided to follow him.
He ran straight to my car and climbed into the drivers seat with me in the passenger, he started the car quickly and raced out of the parking lot "what just happened." I said huffing from being out of breath "so I kinda saw the whole interaction and took it into my own hands!" Steve said chuckling nervously "still not sure what happened but it was a little fun" I told him "yeah" he said taking a long breath.

We drove into a huge parking lot so we could decide what we were going to do next until Steve's phone dung, I waited for him to react and I'll just say he didn't seem to happy  "who is it?" I asked "your brother and the rest of them" he replied "what do they want from you? Aren't you just the babysitter?" I asked him "I'm more than that apparently, they asked if they could come to my house for a bit since they were bored" he told me "oh? When?" I asked him "an hour" he replied "should we go then?" I asked "yeah, maybe" he said "alright, want me to drive or you?" I asked him since he hadn't moved "you can but I'm sorry this wasn't a great date, kinda screwed it up" he told me looking a little upset "it's fine, I won't forget it for sure" I said chuckling while reversing the car out of the parking spot.
