Jake's POV
I took a return to our home right after the short dispute with Jack. I was fucking wet because I got poured a water bottle over my head. So I needed to change my clothes immediately. Yeah, all thanks to you bro!

I guess he always knows how to tease me, right? But still, I know that he doesn't have anyone to make fun of.

I mean who else? Bruce? If so I am fucking mad anyways! What I got from him is Bruce his best friend. They get along together well. Though I am not sure if it would be the same if Bruce hasn't had the same financial situation.

I know you must be reminding me by now that Jack and Bruce donate their fathers' money in the dark streets of Gotham, helping homeless kids. But for what?

Believe me, they are just plain paid brags for those people. Because not everyone appreciates your help, no matter what.

And I know the reason behind Jack doing it. Jack has a thing for kids. Maybe because he always had the uncovered scar about his childhood. I know that he always blames himself for things we have been through. That he must have fought to give us a better life than living with restrictions.

So I really appreciate him for protecting kids. However, he forgets one thing. He can't save them all. There are plenty of children who face abuse despite their age, gender, race, or even financial situation.

I mean he couldn't save himself either. Being rich didn't solve any problems. And we had hard times that we were ready to leave all our wealth behind. So that to be a little happier.

And I must say he is trying his best to make us happier in his way. Me, our mother, and himself. There were times he convinced himself that when he makes our father happy he will be happy too. But as you can see, it didn't last long either.

The reason is my father doesn't want anyone to be happy. Because he is not happy at all. Probably never were and never will.

And what is the meaning of it? For Jack, it is sure making jokes. Like nonstop. Ask me cause I am always the testing material for him. And it sure didn't leave any good taste on my tongue.

But man, why does he have to do it in front of everyone? I have a special authority among students. I must avoid things of any kind that could be inappropriate to our name. Because Napiers had a part of the role in building this high school.

So Jack must stop himself or at least restrain his uncontrollable joking urge. Especially in front of Bruce. And he fucking knows that I don't like Bruce around.

I leave the schoolyard in anger. We usually have my father's driver to take us from school. But I didn't call my home for a driver. Him asking extra questions will probably piss me off even more.

I walk past the school gate faster. But suddenly...

Some red-haired girl bumped into me. Great, couldn't have been a more happy day for you, Jake?!

" Hey, look ahead, you stupid!" she calls me looking at the scattered books all over the place.

And wait, did she just call me stupid?!

" Excuse me but who the hell are you calling me stupid?! You are stupid cause you bumped into me first. I was on my way." I reply dryly.

" No, it wasn't. That was my way! So you are guilty!" she yells irritated.

" Oh really, so you think you have your father's special space in here?!" I motioned to the road.

" You think you have yours?!" she rolls her eyes.

I smirk. Cause technically my father's company has built the place. Haha!

" Maybe I have?" I reply, " what are you gonna do about it?"
