I pulled in the driveway as Eddie pulled up to the street not far behind me. "I just wanna drop off my stuff. You're more than welcome to come inside." I told Eddie as I was on my way inside. I fumbled with my keys because of all the adrenaline running through my veins.

"And meet your parents? Yeah, no thank you."

"They aren't here." I interjected. I could feel him looking at me. "They stay in the city most the time, since my dad works out there. They have an apartment there and everything." I nervously chuckled. Eddie got out of his van.

"Okay then." Eddie walked inside behind me. "Nice place." He said, looking around.

"Thanks. It's not too bad. Especially since I have it to myself most of the time." I turned down my boombox that I had brought downstairs when Steve was here earlier and pressed play. Master of Puppets by Metallica started playing. Shit.

"Metallica?" Eddie exclaimed, seeming shocked. It seemed to be only then that he realized I was wearing a Metallica t-shirt.

"Yeah. They're one of my favorite bands." I said shyly.

"You are quite the mysterious woman Lizzie." I felt electricity surge through my body when he said my name. I dropped my stuff off, shut off the music and we hurried outside and into Eddie's van.

On the way to Eddie's trailer we stopped by a local burger place and grabbed food. Eddie kept saying how great it was and that I had to try it. We got to his trailer and I looked around.

"Nice place. I love that you're so close to the woods." I said, mimicking his words from earlier.

"Just wait until you see inside. But don't judge the mess. The maid took the week off." He laughed. He grabbed my hand. There go the butterflies again. His skin was warm and soft, reminiscent of your favorite blanket or stuffed animal you always carried around with you as a child. He set the food down on the table and I began sorting things out. "No!" Eddie said as he ran over to me. "Let me take care of everything for you, sweetheart." I blushed and sat down in one of the dining chairs. Eddie got both of us drinks and sorted out the food. I took one bite and was in love.

"Oh my god!" I said, with a mouthful of burger.

"Starting without me?" Eddie said has he hurried back over to me.

"Sorry, I was starving!" I said before taking another bite.

"Yeah, I noticed you didn't eat very much at lunch." I felt embarrassed, knowing that he watched me during lunch.

"Wait, you were watching me?" I laughed.

"Maybe." He said, winking at me. We finished our food while joking around and engaging in the standard first date small talk.

"I uh, thought we could maybe watch this." Eddie said as he help up The Shining on VHS. "I noticed you had the book with you in chemistry today." I was awestruck at the fact he even bothered to look at what book I brought to class.

"Yeah, it's my favorite. Stephen King is like, my favorite author." Eddie blushed.

"He's one of mine too." Before we got ready, Eddie showed me his room.

"Oh my gosh. She's beautiful." I said as I walked over, marveling at his guitar.

"Isn't she?" He said, but I could tell we weren't looking at the same things. I felt my face turn as red as a freshly ripened strawberry. We ultimately decided to watch the movie at my house, since his uncle would be home soon and we didn't want to bother him.

After getting back, we cuddled up on the couch together. He seemed nervous as he put his arm around me. Almost as if he was shocked that I even wanted to be around him. We started the movie and settled in for the night. Throughout the movie, he never stopped holding me, and it was almost as if half the time he was watching me instead of the movie, which made me blush. Anytime I jumped his grip got tighter, almost as a reassurance that he was there, protecting me.

"I'm right here, love." He whispered in my ear, as he could feel me getting tense.

"I know." I squeaked out. It was at this point that I felt a sudden magnetic urge take over my body. As if I was just along for the ride. I looked at Eddie. "Eddie?" I sheepishly asked. He looked at me. Every time our eyes locked together it felt like magic. The whole world just melted away, as if nothing else mattered. Because it didn't. I wanted to kiss him, very badly.

Before I knew it, he slammed his lips into mine, moving his free hand onto my cheek. His lips were soft. The kiss electrified by body and filled my stomach and chest with butterflies. We lingered in the kiss for what felt an eternity, waiting to see who needed to come up for air first. I pulled away looking into his beautiful brown eyes. The most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. He slowly moved me on top of him and I wrapped my arms around his neck, intertwining my fingers in his soft curls, all the while neither of us breaking eye contact. This time, it was my turn. I kissed him, pressing my body even closer to his, if it was even possible. He had one hand on the back of my neck and the other on my lower back, holding me against him, as if I was something he was scared to lose. He licked my bottom lip and I granted him access. Our tongues intertwined as my fingers continued to play with his hair. He gently bit my bottom lip, causing me to let a small moan escape. I felt him smile into the kiss which sent my heart into overdrive. He pulled away and started to kiss my neck, causing more soft moans to escape my lips. I move my head back and to the side to give him more access. It was then that he picked me up and we travelled up stairs.

He was gentle with every move me made, being careful not to hurt or drop me on the journey to my bedroom. He laid me on the bed as he got on top of me, and even then he had such a calming way about him that I was never worried. "Eddie.." I asked while he was still kissing my neck. "Eddie. I..." He pulled away. He looked worried, as if he had done something wrong.

"Did I do something wrong? Are you okay?" I looked in his eyes and could see how much he really cared.

"No, no. It's just.." I looked away, embarrassed about what I was gonna say next. "I've never done anything like this before. I'm just kinda scared and I didn't wanna let you down-"

"Let me down?" He cut me off before I could finish. "Darling, you are one of the most magnificent creatures I have ever seen." I smiled as a tear ran down my cheek. Eddie quickly wiped it away with his thumb, leaving his hand on my cheek. "I am willing to wait for you for as long as you want or need." I looked in his eyes and saw only the sweetest sincerity staring back into mine. I brought his face back over to mine and planted my lips back onto his. This kiss was unlike any of the other we shared tonight. It was full of passion and promises that had yet to be made. He pulled away slowly.

"Lizzie?"

"Yes Eddie?" I responded with tears still in my eyes, touched by his gracious words.

"Will you be mine?" I was shocked. "I know we've only known each other for a day but I knew the moment I first saw you on the first day of school that I wanted you to be mine. The way Henderson and Wheeler talked about you before you even moved here. The way you're a force to be reckoned with in D&D." I laughed. "I just want you in my life for as long as I can possibly have you." I looked into his eyes, trying to grasp a sense of what he was thinking.

"Yes, Eddie Munson. But on one condition."

"Name it." He replied, smiling.

"Stay with me tonight."

"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." He said as he climbed into bed with me, pulling me close to him. This spring break was going to be the best spring break, ever.
