you pulled into the driveway like a dog who hasn't seen his owner in a week. crazy happy.
the car came to a stop and you sat with your excitement.  you waited for somebody to come out of the house and jeremiah was the first. "what's up!" he saw laurel first and he ran over and hugged her. "long time no see!"
"good to see you!" laurel smiled.
jeremiah looked amazing. tan, blonde hair,  beautiful eyes, he looked strong too, he must've been going to the gym. he looked.. cute.
susannah stepped out of the house elated. jere moved to hug steven and susannah and laurel held each other in a tight embrace.
you hopped out of the car with belly in toe. jere and steven were complimenting eachother then jeremiah turned to face you both. he looked at you first, stared at you for the longest. his eyes then moved to belly, back to you, back to belly. he looked you up and down and smiled.
"look who came back all grown up!" he ran towards you and closed the space between you both. he picked you up so easily you felt weightless. you wrapped your hands around his neck and he had his around your waist. you were laughing as hard as ever. he twirled you around and around.
"jeremiah quit it, i'm dizzy!" you yelled. he pretended to drop you and you screamed and held on to him tighter. "i swear to god, jere!" you punched him in his chest and he let you down gracefully. he twirled your hair for a second and gave you instant butterflies.
he then turned to belly. "and belly button!" he hugged her and lifted her up to her toes. they were both laughing. you ran over to hug susannah.
"susannah!" you squealed and hugged her tightly.
"it's been too long." she said in an even tone with a kind smile.
"tell me about it!" you giggled and tucked your hair behind your ear. "you look good." she did. her blonde hair looked gorgeous and her outfits never fail to impress.
"well, you look stunning, just look at yourself."
you twirled around for her. you had a black skirt with white flowers on it and a white flowy tank top on that showed your curves in an appropriate way. you had nike blazers on too.
you turned to see conrad staring at you. conrad's blondish brownish hair covered his eyes just barely, just in the perfect way. you could see his piercing blue eyes from here. he looked beautiful. like a painting.
"go on ahead! i'll be here!" susannah patted your back and you slowly walked towards conrad.
"hey." he said.
"hey." you said shyly. he was staring at you and didn't break eye contact, so you kept looking away.
"your braces are gone." he said, unreadable.
"what?" you asked. "oh, yeah. they are." you smiled at him. "see?"
"i can see." he laughed.
"right." you whispered.
"y/n." he said slowly.
"what is it?" you looked up at him. you had to. he towered over you.
"i missed you."
you reached up and hugged his neck. he smelt so good. like cigarettes and dior perfume. you didn't want to let go. "i missed you too, freakshow." you punched his shoulder lightly and he smiled and put his arm around you.
belly turned to look at you both and pain registered her face then she smiled. "i'll go catch up with everybody, yeah?" you backed away to let belly and conrad greet each other.
"where oh where are you going?" jeremiah asked and steven smiled maniacally.
"no." you said lightly. they eyed you like they were sharks and you were a minnow. "no!" you said sternly and went to run inside. jere grabbed you and slung you over his shoulder.
"put me down jerk face!" you kicked your legs and kneed him in the stomach.
"ow!" he whined but you knew it didn't really hurt.
he walked over to conrad and belly, steven on his trail.
"i mean, i don't know about you, but i.." steven checked his imaginary watch "i think it's time for a.."
"flip flop!" jeremiah and steven exclaimed in unison.
"NO! put me down jeremiah! now!!" you shrieked.
belly took her chance to run and conrad and steven grabbed her before she got too far. they both picked her up. they brought us both to the pool as our fate became nearer and nearer.
"no! no! no! i swear to god asshats i'll kill you! I mean it!" you shouted.
"stop!" belly yelled.
they were cheering and whooping "flip flop! flip flop! flip flop!" they were laughing.
"I have my clothes on! it's new! I got my top from lululemon! $68 for this! you're throwing $68 in chlorine!!" you cried.
"right here, right here, ready?" jeremiah said.
"1.." jeremiah brought you down to his arms and swayed you, conrad and steven swayed belly too.
"2.." they all counted together.
"guys let's talk about this!" you howled. you felt yourself get swayed again.
"3!" jeremiah brought you all the way back and tilted you so you did a flip on your way in. you screamed like you had been stabbed.
"flip!" they all yelled.
then they tossed belly in.
"flop!" they all yelled again. "flip flop!" they laughed like it was the funniest thing since the interrupting cow.
