Chapter Three - Panic

 Everything was shaking. Cups were falling and shattering on the ground people were shouting.

Then it happened, Lights started to go out outside of the cafe as the roof was falling in.

'Am I going to die?!' I started to hyperventilate as panic took a hold of me and would not let go.

Then as the roof just began to crack above me...

"Y/N!" I could barely hear the person yelling my name until I felt somebody grab a hold of my waist and hugged me to them, as they brought us to the ground shielding me from the falling roof. Then it went dark.

"Y/n!"

"Mmmph"

"Y/N WAKE UP PLEASE!"

'Ashiya? Ugh, I have a pounding headache...' I open my eyes slowly and gather my surroundings.

"It's dark. Where are we?... Ashiya?" It was dark and it looked like we were buried in, Ashiya was above me. I slowly sat up, trying to get a better grasp of reality.

"Please lay down! You've been out for a while. I tried to protect you when the roof caved in, but I accidentally smacked my head on yours during the fall, I'm sorry." He almost looked like a puppy who got scolded. I laid my hand on his head.

"It's ok Ashi, I know you meant to protect me. Thank you." He looked down at me with clear tears in his eyes, his face a red tint. 'I may not have known Ashiya and Maou for a long time, but for the short amount of time I have, he's always been a bit.. how do I put it? Emotional. "So how do we get out of here?" I asked looking around for a way out.

"I found a small tunnel over there where we could crawl out of, I was thinking of going through it to call for help but- well never mind. Here let me help you up." He grabbed my arm and slung it over his shoulder. 'My head... I'm dizzy as hell.'  We slowly approached the small tunnel. Ashiya then carefully set me down on the ground. "I'll go up front so when we get to the other end I can help you through." I nod allowing him to go first with me following behind him. When he makes it out on the other end he grabs my hand and pulls me up.

"How are you feeling?" Ashiya asked me with visible concern on his face.

"I'm ok, I have a headache and my leg is sore but I can manage." Ashiya sat me down on the ground again and lifted my hurt leg up. It was bruised, a strong purple color was around my ankle.

"That's no good... Here." He turned around showing me his back. "I'll carry you, we need to go find the others." I nodded, and climbed on using my good leg to lift myself up. Ashiya held onto my legs as I wrapped my arms around him as we started to walk away. My heart was going doki-doki.

As much as I wanted to deny it, I was falling for Ashiya.

We finally made it out, It was dark outside and the stars were not easily seen due to the light pollution from the city lights.

"I see Maou!" I say pointing a bit further ahead of us. Ashiya, who didn't say anything, hurried over to Maou.

"Your majesty!!!!!! Please! Please forgive me Sire! Not only did I let Emilia get near you I didn't notice the enemy closing in! I selfishly put you in a position to save my pathetic life! How could I ever be pardoned for this atrocity!" Ashiya cried to Maou, me still on his back. I felt embarrassed as I saw others watching us.

"Quit making a scene man, Are you hurt?" Maou asked us.

"You graciously acquire after our health!" He continued to cry. This man was a huge baby but I couldn't blame the guy.

"For the most part we're fine Maou, but my ankle got banged up pretty bad. I can't walk on it much right now."

"I see that, Let's head back home we'll help you with that bruise Y/n." Maou sighed. "Ashiya calm down already! let's go." He started walking off with Ashiya still crying, following him closely.

On the way home we were stopped by some police, they apparently confused us with actors because of how Ashiya was treating Maou on the street earlier. One of the officers had told us to never give up our dream to be actors.

Dear lord it took everything in my body to not burst out laughing. Things never got dull around these two, I was ready to go home after this long day. 

But here I am laying on the floor of Maou and Ashiya's place. Why may you ask? Because my dumb ass forgot to grab my keys when we left this morning and now I was locked out of the house. I called Zack a while ago to inform him about today's incident along with my injury. He was worried sick, it took a lot of convincing but I let him know I was in good hands tonight. Reluctantly he gave in and the call ended shortly after.

"Here this should work as an ice pack." Ashiya came up to me with two frozen bags of peas. 'Ah yes the good old bag of frozen peas.' He gently lifted my foot and put one bag of the peas that was wrapped with a towel under my foot. Then placed the other above my poor foot.

"Thank you Ashiya, I appreciate all the help you and Maou have given me." I smiled up at him.

"No worries. With all the dinners you and Zack have given us this is only a small way to show our appreciation." Ashiya smiled back and walked to his futon that I am currently laying on. Ashiya let me share his as they only had two, we both had our own blankets. 'Today was very tiring, yet I don't think I regret it."

Closing my eyes I muttered a thank you to the two guys then went to sleep.

Ashiya's P.O.V. (Here we go :3)

   "So, did you also transform when the building collapsed?" Maou had asked out of the blue.

"Sire! What about Y/n?!" 'Why on earth would he openly talk about such a thing?!'

"SH! ASHIYA!" He whispered yelled at me, pointing to Y/n. She was asleep hugging my pillow, today must have taken a lot out of her. Her H/l H/c was messy. Some over her face the rest spread over the rest of the futon. She was dressed in one of my long sleeve shirts and shorts. 

"Uh, Ashiya? Are you going to answer me?"

"Oh right! To answer your question, yes I did. I'm assuming you were too then?"

"Yea, I don't know why. It only makes me more worried. If it is someone targeting us, then why haven't they just up right attacked us? Unless they also have very low power?" Maou had sat at the table pondering to himself.

"Ashiya, tell me everything that happened when the building crashed on your end."

"Yes sire!" I begin to recall.
