*AUTHORS NOTE*
Just a little note - thank you so much for reading!! But also, this is a creation of MY own imagination. And being that it is MINE, and I do not own ANY of the people in the story other than the ONES I HAVE CREATED, I take liberties with creativity. So I have included pieces of movies/songs that I think would be neat if other actors did them. Just wanted to throw that in here. We can move on now. Thanks :)"Good Lord, I swear that man just loves to create reasons to break the Internet. You being the reason." I laughed, glancing at Ashley, who was walking next to me.
The chill of fall was in the air, I could feel it through my hoodie as we walked around the city park. Indeed, it was a mid-October morning, and the last stubborn colored leaves clung to the branches of the trees, just waiting for a strong gust of wind to blow them to the ground.
"Seriously, that post in July after he left? Then the one in September. And now another last night?" Ashley rolled her eyes at me before looking back to her phone. "Have you seen this shit?" I finally gave in, handing her Gypsy's leash and carefully took her phone.
"You know I don't have Twitter," I said quietly as I scrolled. "That's why I depend on you for updates, my dear friend." She scoffed.
I smiled to myself as I found Tom's Twitter account, seeing the post he'd left in July, after he, Chris and Ben had left Cheyenne.
@twhiddleston: 'Song of the Day' has to be this: 'You Make it Easy' by Jason Aldean
*Not usually a country person, but I have found it to have grown on me.
My love, what have I done before the last year, before you came into my life? You are so easy to talk to, to laugh with, to love. Thank you for choosing me to love.
He had also posted a photo of our hands – mine basically dwarfed in his large one, our fingers linked, sitting on the table while we were at Rodizio Grill. I really needed to be more aware of when he took photos.
Tom had been quite serious when he said we would be apart for several months – he had been working steadily since August, mostly in L.A., on prepping for the voicework for the new Disney film. We tried to talk daily, which was pretty consistent, but the times certainly weren't. I kept my phone on me all the time, praying I didn't miss his call, because honestly, I missed him so much, it hurt.
August 25; @twhiddleston posted: 'Song of the Day' has been on my mind recently, so I felt I must update. Today's installment is 'One Call Away' by Charlie Puth. Kat – I know you're only a call away, but it feels so much further. Thinking of better days, when the space between us is minimal.
The photo accompanying the post had made me smile – it was taken on the yacht in Hawaii the previous year, and was quite similar to the photo in the locket around my neck. Both of us smiling widely, clad in sunglasses, the beautiful ocean behind us. That particular post had gotten many, many more comments than earlier ones, but I had taken Ashley's constant advice and avoided reading them. There was no doubt in my mind there were positive and negative, but I never felt up to reading them.
Finally I scrolled down to the most recent post on his account, after the many 'mentions' of the account from other users.
"Did you find it yet?" Ashley asked eagerly, and I shot her a look.
"I haven't read it yet, give me a minute." I said, looking back to the phone.
@twhiddleston posted: 'Song of the Day' – most definitely this. 'I Need My Girl' by Blake Shelton. Enough said. I miss you, darling.
