Taehyun and Beomgyu are ditching school again today.

Beomgyu is surprised the teachers haven't told his parents about his disappearances yet, but it's only the third time and he's a pretty good student so he probably has the benefit of the doubt.

Taehyun has already jumped over the school gate, waiting for Beomgyu, and Beomgyu's at the top, hesitant to follow the younger down.

"Don't tell me you're still scared? This is our third time hyung." He looks up at Beomgyu with his hands over his eyes to block the sun.

"Sorry Hyun, I'm just not used to it. What if I hurt myself?"

"Did you get hurt the other two times we did this?"

The older just stayed silent because it's true. He didn't get hurt at all. Not even a scratch.

"Exactly. There's nothing to worry about. And if in some way you can't find your balance, I'll catch you before you fall."

"Okay.." And the older can't lie, those words made butterflies erupt in his stomach. The way they were said with so much softness and sincerity. It made him feel some type of way. He thinks he fell even harder the moment those words escaped the younger's lips.

With Taehyun's encouragement, Beomgyu jumped down from the top of the 10ft gate and landed on his feet. His ankles kind of hurt due to the impact, but it was fine after a few seconds. He jumped down scathe free. Taehyun was right. And Beomgyu worries for no reason.

"I told you it'd be fine hyung." Taehyun had a smug look on his face.

Beomgyu rolled his eyes, "Whatever. Let's just go before we get caught."

"Right." Taehyun grabs the older's hand and they book it to the alleyway.

Was it mentioned that Taehyun has a motorbike? The alleyway is where he keeps it when he wants to ditch school since no one ever goes in there. He even bought Beomgyu his own helmet to wear when he's with the younger.

Another thing added to the list of reasons why Beomgyu has fallen in love with Kang Taehyun.

When they get into the alleyway, Taehyun puts his hyung's helmet on him and buckles it for him. Beomgyu's glad it's covering his face because the older can feel the heat radiating from it.

He mumbles a quiet thanks before getting onto the bike behind Taehyun, wrapping his arms around the younger's waist for security.

Taehyun sets off out of the alleyway, the world around them becoming a blur of colors. Despite the large helmet covering Beomgyu's head, he can feel the wind on his face. His heart picks up its pace, and a wide smile makes itself comfortable on his face as the two speed down the roads.

This is the type of excitement that had been stripped away from the older's life. The type of excitement that he believes everyone has to experience at least once in their lifetime. The type that makes you feel free. Like you don't have a single care in the world. It makes you forget about what happened in the past, what worries lie in the future, and lets you focus on the present. Lets you relish in the time you're having right then and there.
