Taehyun awoke from his slumber cold and confused. He fell asleep coddled, feeling warm and cozy, but the warmth was now gone. Half asleep, he whined and felt for his boyfriend who was right next to him only a few hours prior.

Instead of his boyfriend, he felt a dry texture and heard the slight crumple of a piece of paper. He furrowed his brows and sat up. He curiously eyed the paper before picking it up and gently unfolding it.

The note read,

Good morning sweetheart~
Happy Valentine's day!
You might be wondering where I am, but don't worry, Soobin hyung will answer that question for you! Now hurry up and get ready, he'll be here soon!
I love you~

A small smile found it's way onto Taehyun's face as he read the note. Of course his often over-the-top boyfriend would do something so extra on Valentine's day.

A scavenger hunt.

He read books. He knows the deal... presumably.

He thought about how the note said that Soobin would be there soon and got out of bed, his smile still intact and not an ounce of tiredness left in his system.

Considering Beomgyu knows what time Taehyun usually wakes up and how long it typically takes him to get ready to go out, the boy didn't rush.

He took his time brushing his teeth and doing his skin care, wanting to look like he was glowing for when he finally sees his boyfriend. He took even more time to do his hair, making sure every tiny little pink strand is in the perfect place and ensured to not frizz up throughout the day.

He didn't take too much time with what he'd wear since he knew Beomgyu would love him in anything.

Doesn't mean he didn't wanna still look cute though.

He decided on a white collared shirt under a light purple oversized cardigan tucked into the front of a pair of white knee-length shorts.

He wore his golden earrings with the matching necklace that Beomgyu gifted him for their anniversary, along with a few golden rings he bought online. He put on some makeup, applying light blush, highlighter, liquid glitter on his eyes, and a bit of lip gloss to make his lips pop.

He was checking himself in the mirror and decided to put a golden clip in his hair, one in the shape of a flower. He smiled at his reflection. The beep of a car snapped him out of the staring contest he had with himself. He hurriedly put on a pair of white and gold Nike air force 1's and sprayed on a bit of his go-to perfume before grabbing his phone and keys and booking it out the front door.

He waved at Soobin as he walked out of the door and hurried to his car.

"Happy Valentine's day, Tyun," Soobin spoke when the younger was settled in the front seat.

"You too, hyung." Taehyun smiled. "So how much did Beom pay you?"

Soobin breathed out a chuckle, ".. 50 dollars."
