Chapter 5: The Trial part two

As we entered the Obsidian Fieldland we approached A campsite of some kind

"This is our base camp--the last safe haven before you reach the wilds.

For your trial, you must catch three species of
Pokémon: Bidoof, Starly, and Shinx!

Are you ready to get started?" Akari asked she said before Laventon showed up

"Oh, Professor? Is something wrong?" She asked

"Ah, well, you see...

Captain Cyllene got hold of me after you left...

She impressed upon me that | bear full
responsibility for whatever happens to "our sudden guest." He responded

"That s our unsparing captain. but what help
exactly can you offer out here, Professor?" Akari asked

"To be honest, my dear girl, I don't intend to lift a finger! Y/N's talents are the real deal. He'll pass with flying colors-you'll see!" He responded

"Ah. So the responsibility for him still lies, in fact,

with me, then.

Well, I'm sure Y/N will be fine. Let's begin
the trial!" she said then I know it and she ran off and I followed

"This is Aspiration Hill. The species of Pokémon you're meant to catch all live here." she said as I looked around

'It's so beautiful' I think

Then a small brown furry Pokémon showed up

"And along comes a Bidoof! Time to get ready to catch it.

The key is to aim carefully. Not that you seem to need my advice-I'm just sharing what I know.

Bidoof has a mellow disposition. That means it
tends not to run from people, so this'll be easy!" She said

I then nodded and made my way towards it I threw a Poké ball and caught it

"You caught a Bidoof! Well done! Time to find
your next Pokémon." She ran off again and I followed

when I caught up to her I saw a little bird like Pokémon

"There's a Starly. They're skittish little things.
they'll run if startled.

But you should be able to get close to them if
you crouch--you'll be harder to spot!" She said

I then crouched and walked into some tall grass

' The humans are hiding from the Pokémon in the tall grass the irony!' I think as I approach the Starly when I got close enough I threw a Poké ball and caught it

"That's Starly caught as well! Only one more
Pokémon to go." she then ran off again and I followed

When I caught up to her she was standing near a tree

"Try throwing your Pokémon's ball at rocks
trees like this one--to have it investigate.

If your Pokémon finds any Berries or other items, it'll bring them to you!

Now it's time for your partners to shine.

We've reached your final hurdle: catching
a Shinx." She then ran off once again

But this time instead of chasing after her immediately I turn to the tree and send out Cindy she whacked the tree and three Oran Berries fell from it and I guard them up then went after her

"There. That's Shinx." she said before I saw a cute looking Lion like Pokémon but I know not to judge a book by its cover

"Shinx has an aggressive disposition. Could you already tell that?" She asked
