Vedika always knew that Ram never once thinks about himself when it comes to his work. His diet, his wellbeing, and no one is there to really care. Tarun can only do so much. She thought if she could be there for him every time he neglected his health.....but that would require a sort of 'arrangement' for which it was too late. Reading that 'thank you' coming from him, meaning he got the food, was enough for her.
She smiled a little and then saw a photo framed on the wall of Shashi and her wedding, so significantly clear like it was trying to tell her what an awful person she was. Thinking about spending her life with another man, while her husband was at work, earning money so that she could have the life she wanted.
But did she really? Her father convinced her to marry Shashi because he thought he could give her a comfortable life. But she was perfectly happy with Ram all those years ago, even though she knew he had no money.
She used to feel a thousand times happier when Ram would buy her roses with the little money he had, knowing but not caring that he would have to walk to work for the next two days, than she feels now when Shashi buys her all those expensive lilies on a daily basis.
But then why did she agree? Why did she agree to marry Shashi? Why did she agree to leave Ram? Why didn't she fight for her love? Her one and only love, who, even now when looks at her with those beautiful-beautiful green eyes, still makes her heart flip and jump just like it used to 8 years ago.
She was pulled out of her memories by a text message from Shashi saying he needed her at the office for her signatures. She absently replied that she would be there in 15 mins and then clumsily picked up all the lilies- which he had brought her- she had apparently thrown on the floor while reminiscing the years old roses.
