NAA TERE BINA LAGDA JEE....

Ram held her hand so softly, and felt that he was holding it after years. Her eyes instantly went from his eyes to their hands, indicating that she felt the same. Both of them were facing a dilemma of moving forward or controlling themselves. They looked at each other while Ram took the first step; he pulled Vedika slowly towards him and made her left hand rest on his shoulder, and made his own to hold her waist. The saree was not covering her back, so naturally his hand landed on her bare body. She felt a rise in temperature of her body, like the levels of dopamine were shooting all over her nervous system. He held her tightly and made the fingers of his right hand entwine with hers.

TU KI JAANE PYAAR MERA,

MAI KARUN INTEZAAR TERA,

TU DIL TU YON JAAN MERI,

Both of them weren't able to take their eyes off of each other. They were so close to each other that, that level of comfort, that sense of belongingness they had felt with no one else, came back. The swayed on the song, holding each other.

MAI TENU SAMJHAVAAN KI,

NA TERE BAAJU LAGDA JEE....

Ram pulled back a little and holding Vedika's left hand, spinned her around. Again and again. She looked so beautiful when she was around him. Then he stopped, pushed her away, and she looked at him. To her surprise, she was rolled back into his arms. Her hair brushed through his face and he closed his eyes, placed both his hands on her waist, and held her from behind. This felt right. All the touches, the hand holds, his body wrapping itself like a blanket around her, this is what was needed. What was wanted. Ram's breath was warm and passionate, passing through every lock of Vedika's hair like blood passing through veins. She was so lost in him, that she forgot she was doing the same dance with her husband not more than an hour ago.

MERE DIL NE, CHUNN LAYIAAN NE, TERE DIL DIYAAN RAHAAN,

TU JO MERE, NAAL TU RAHE TAAN, TUR PE MERIYAAN SAHAAN

Vedika wrapped her arms around Ram's, making sure he didn't leave her. There was something that made them get closer to each other. Maybe the song was right, they needed each other to breathe. To survive. To live life like it was supposed to be lived. With love, and happiness. Not with guilt and regret. Stolen glances or accidental touches. No, it was supposed to be their right, to touch each other, hold each other, to dance with each other.

JEENA MERA, HAAYE, HUN HAI TERA, KI MAI KARAAN

TU KAR AITBAAR MERA, MAI KARU INTEZAAR TERA,

TU YON JAAN MERI,

MAI TENU SAMJHAVAAN KI,

NA TERE BINA LAGDA JEE......

Ram came out of the oblivion first. He loosened his grip around Vedika, and as he did, she opened her eyes. There was a moment's pause when they just stood there, with their bodies against each other, confused about what came next. Uncontrollable emotions surged through them like lava and they tried to control it. They did. They had been doing it for a long time. 8 years. 8 years of just standing next to each other, looking at each other, controlling all those urges. Tonight had been one of the best examples. Vedika and Ram both wanted to dance with each other, but the prevailing circumstances didn't allow them to.

TENU CHHAD KE KITHE JAAVAN, TU MERA PARCHAVAN,

TERE MUKHDE VICH HI MAI TAAN, RABB NU APNE PAAVAN,

MERI DUAA HAAYE, SAJDA TERA KARDI SADAA,

TU SUN IQRAAR MERA, MAI KARUN INTEZAAR TERA,

TU DIL TU YON JAAN MERI, MAI TENU SAMJHAVAAN KI

NA TERE BAAJU LAGDA JEE.....

Why was this necessary? This distance? This guilt? Vedika wasn't able to think of anything right then. She turned around slowly and looked in Ram's eyes. They were saying the same thing. Both of them were breathing heavily. Vedika held Ram's hand and entwined their fingers. She took her other hand and touched his cheek. He looked at her and then at her hand. He must have been feeling something indescribable, because as she held his face, he closed his eyes and a tear fell out.

To both their surprise, Vedika kissed it off. Ram felt chills down his spine. She started to withdraw her face from him, but wasn't able to go very far. Ram held her hand and kept her body inclined towards his. His eyes weren't showing hesitance now, they were filled with love. All the love he had hid from the world all these years, finally found an outlet. He looked at Vedika's lips, and she noticed this. She grew closer to him, her body starting to dissolve in his. This shouldn't be stopped. It was going to happen. No one could stop this.

As they both closed their eyes, ready for the feeling they hadn't felt for years, something changed. The music became distorted, and then turned off all together.
