𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐀 𝐖𝐎𝐊𝐄 𝐔𝐏, looking at her clock. It was only six in the morning, three more hours until her breakfast. She grunted and turned around, trying to sleep again, but failed to. She sat up in frustration and looked around. Lily, Marlene, Mary, and Alice, who were her dorm mates, were all still asleep. their shared dorm was total silence, their small snores were the only sound heard.
She left her bed as quietly as possible and went to the bathroom for a quick shower. She then slipped into her clothes.
She got out of her dorm to an empty common room, which was a weird sight since the common room was always filled with students, if not, at least two or three people.
" What are you doing out here at this hour?" Someone asked as she walked out of the common room she jumped but covered her mouth to stop herself from making loud noises that would wake someone up.
She realized it was the fat lady "Hi, Elizabeth" she greeted. Amelia was the only one that called the 'fat lady', Elizabeth. She thought it was pretty weird for her to call anyone ' the fat lady', and ' the fat lady' thinks so too. So in her second year, she asked her name and called her by her real name since then.
" What are you doing here at this hour, dear?" the lady asked. " Good morning to you, too. I woke up early, I just want to walk around" the lady nodded. " Alright, go off you go" Elizabeth yawned, setting down to sleep again, as Amelia shrugged, and turned around, walking down the stairs, that were moving around.

She stepped on the last step of the stairs up to the astronomy tower, panting, gasping for air. She looked around, thinking she would be the only one to be there since it was really early but there was a curly black-haired boy.
The boy turned around, she quickly realized the boy was Regulus Black, Sirius' brother. He looks thin, ... and weak, unlike Sirius, who looked so much better after his stay at the potters. They happily took him in and took care of him. Sirius was much healthier now. The boy's face was pale, with eye bags, like Sirius's after he ran away. Even so, he still looks pretty attractive.
"Hi" he greeted shortly. His voice was hoarse, flat, and cold. " Hi" Amelia repeated with a more soft voice. He looked at her blankly for a second then knelled down and started to pack his thing up. " No, no, no, it's okay, you can stay, I'll- just- leave" she rushed. Regulus hesitated but put his thing down. Amelia twirled around, and when she was about to make her way down the stairs again, Regulus said " You can stay". she snapped her head towards him with a confused face.
" You can stay" he repeated and shifted his position so that his back face her. She let out a quiet ' thank you. She went to the other side of the tower, sat down, and opened her new book to preview what they will learn, in case she doesn't understand.
It had been thirty minutes and they were still there. Amelia was still on the ground, reading her book, Regulus still standing where he was at the beginning when Amelia saw him, looking at the, now, fully raised sun.
" Sirius still cares about you- you know" she broke the silence between them, which was very awkward. Regulus seemed surprised, but coldly said nonetheless, " If so, he wouldn't have left me in that horrible house"
" Then leave," she said, looking at him hopefully" Come with us. You know you're not gonna be safe there. " The boy sighed.
She doesn't know much about Regulus. She had heard about him from Sirius. This was the first time she had ever talked to the boy. Even though she doesn't know him, she cared about the boy. Knowing what it's like at the Black's house, she didn't want anyone else to experience what Sirius did.
" Sirius cares about you. It's all he could talk about after leaving your house for two months." Amelia stood up, now at his side " He's better now, of course. I don't know how it's like but-" the girl reached for his hand, stroking it with her thumb as the boy leaned into her touch.
" I know you're going to be better here. With us."
He pursed his lips, seeming to be in deep thought " I'll think about it." he said curtly before turning away, walking - rather like running - out of the place.

" hey!" James Potter shouted across the great hall, waving at his girl best friend, who had just walked into the hall, looking around, who seemed to be also looking for him. The girl smiled, signaling to him that she had seen him. She ran towards the boys, who were all sitting down at their normal seats, eating breakfast.
" where were you this morning? Lily said she didn't see you when she woke up" James asked worriedly immediately when the girl came close enough to hear what he was saying.
Amelia sat down while grabbing some toast to eat, she lied " woke up early, went for a walk", taking a bite of her toast. James eyed her suspiciously, but dropped it, taking some more toast and putting it on her plate.
Amelia whispered a 'thank you' to him, which he nodded at, smiling. " okay, you guys need to stop this, right now," Remus sassed. The couple turned to look that the other three, who were all looking at them disgustingly.
" Stop what?" Amelia and James asked in unison.
Sirius groaned. " the flirting! you two do know that we're here- right?" Peter answered their question.
" No, nope," Amelia shook her head " we- were not flirting" she glared at the boys.
" yeah, well - stop - cause' he's mine" Sirius stated, grabbing one of James' arms. Amelia rolled her eyes, as James took his arm away from Sirius, shoving him away. " look what you did to our romantic relationship, Amelia"
"Here's your schedule, ms. Harrington" said a voice behind her back.
She looked around to see Professor Mcgonagall holding her schedule. She set it down on the table next to Amelia and walked away.
Sirius suddenly stood up from his seat and stepped on a table, knocking off a few cups, which made everyone turn to him " Minnie!" the raven-haired boy called. The professor turned around, looking straight into his eyes sternly, knowing what was about to happen, again.
" one hundred gallons, Minnie will reject him again" James Potter whispered in her ears. " I'm not dumb Jamie," she said, laughing, making James grin, putting an arm on her shoulders.
" No, Mr. Black, I will not go on a date with you, now please sit down if you don't want to fall," Professor McGonagall said sternly, her voice dripping with sarcasm as everyone roared with laughter. Sirius shamefully went down from the seat he was standing on and sent the older woman a wink, which she rolled her eyes at before going out of the place.
Sirius sat down, smirking " I will get her next time"
" Yeah, sure" Remus rolled his eyes. while the others were laughing.
" You okay?" James asked
"Yeah, of course," Amelia answered, shaking her head, smiling slightly.
" You have been weird lately, Amelia" Peter confronted, his face also filled with worries " Oh, it's nothing, girls' problems"
They all nodded slowly, which amelia sighed at. " Also, I need to go to the library, I'll see you later" Amellia packed up her things and waved goodbye to the group. " Wait- I'll go with you," Remus said, picked up his book, and ran to catch up with her.
