Have you ever seen the rain

*** Iris's POV***
Well I didn't wind up in the hospital thank God,
But my mom and dad were arguing again so I decided to stay in my room so I wouldn't get hurt. I could hear my dad yelling at mom, I knew my sister had left earlier today to go meet her roommate for Harvard, so I couldn't bother her.

I put my headphones in and listened to afraid by Sawyer fredericks, God I love this song. I heard a loud Thud on the floor, I got scared so
I took my earphones out and ran down stairs to see what the noise was. Oh no! My mom was knocked out cold, my dad looked like he had no emotion, how could he do that to mom?
"I'm leaving " dad said as he washed his hands clean.
After an hour my dad left, I was all alone with mom, she woke up thank God,
"I should've divorced that bastard along time ago " mom annoyingly said as she sat on the couch, I grabbed an ice pack and handed it to mom.
"Who texted you? " she asked as she placed the ice pack on her forehead.
"OH MY GOD! SAWYER FREDERICKS TEXTED ME!! OH MY GOD!! " I shouted as I saw that Sawyer texted me. He texted,
"Hey Iris I was wondering if you want to grab something to eat? I don't do my knockout round till eight tonight and I'm bored. - Sawyer "
"Well answer him " mom urged as she giggled a little bit
"Alright I need to get out of the house, I'll explain when you get here - Iris "
*** 12:00 pm ***
"Mom Sawyer is almost here I'm so excited! " I exclaimed excitedly as I braided my naturally curly black hair, ten minutes later I heard a car pull up, my mom opened the door,
"Come in you must be Sawyer " mom sounded unsure when she said that.

"Hi you look beautiful Iris " Sawyer calmly said as I walked towards him,
"You ready to go? " I asked Sawyer as mom took a picture of us.
After ten minutes we left, I couldn't believe I was 'hanging out ' with Sawyer, I was completely mesmerized by him.
"You look so cute Sawyer " I told him as he smiled at me, he giggled when I said that .
"Thanks "
We arrived at a Chinese buffet,
"Are we on a date? " I asked as he opened the door for me, and we walked to the entrance,
He held the door open for me,
"Yes we're on a date " he replied as we stood in line waiting to order our food. He just met me yesterday, I guess he's wanting a girlfriend.

Two hours later we were done eating, he looked at the time, it was 2:00pm,
"I have to go back to the studio for rehearsals with Noelle bybee " he told me as he walked with me to the front door,
"OK I'll watch tonight " I said as he gazed into my eyes, he pulled me close, put his hand under my chin, and kissed my lips softly. Wow I thought as he was kissing me, the kiss lasted 3 seconds.
"Wow " I breathlessly whispered as he pulled away,
"Bye Iris " he exclaimed, and just like that he was gone.
