I woke up in the morning, entered the bathroom and the first thing I saw was a reflection of a lifeless and cheerless person in the mirror. The girl who used to be cheerful, happy, friendly, and kinda careless about problems no matter small or big regardless of her family's attitude was a different person from others, her friends and fellows, she was substituted by a dull, blunt, vapid and torpid girl. She couldn't even recognize herself.
I just sighed. ' I hope everything will be OK.' I rinsed my face and did my morning routine. I noticed my eye bags and decided to put some makeup on. I was feeling mentally drowsy. Encouraging myself and ignoring everything I went downstairs with a normal face and a small smile.
As I got downstairs, I saw Jimin conversing on the phone with somebody. He motioned for me to go to him while taking the call. I was confused at first but just waited for him to hang up.
"My parents are coming over so better be ready till 5 pm and yeah don't even try to tell them about seulgi. They don't know about her and I don't want them to know either did you get that?" said jimin.
'OK,' I replied shortly and directed towards the kitchen to make breakfast.
Jimin's POV
When I was talking to Chaeyoung, I witnessed her eyes were red and a bit puffy as well as her face was not looking fresh at all. I felt like she was mentally exhausted and wanted some respite but I just decided to ignore her and continue doing my business as I don't care about her. There may be a delusion.
During breakfast, I decided to converse with her.
I coughed and started the conversation:
"We have to pretend like confectionary couples in front of my parents so they won't be pessimistic about my relationship with someone else. Just for this once try to be lovey-dovey but keep in intellect I don't have any affection towards you and will never have."
Chae young's POV
I just listened to him and nodded. He doesn't have to remind me about his girlfriend. I know very well about everything. I hate it when he tugs his girlfriend into every part of the discussion. There was silence for a span He just placed his dishes in the sink and departed for his room. After completing my breakfast, I cleaned all the dishes and tidied up the kitchen. I made sure that the house was immaculate too. After analyzing the entire house, I decided to rest for a bit and decided to make dinner later as we have a lot of time.
After taking a nap for a bit, I cooked the food and it was already 3 pm. I decided to take a shower and get ready in the remaining two hours. I settled on changing into a simple dress like this.

I did some light makeup to hide my puffy face and attired nicely.
At 8 PM
The doorbell rang at 8 PM and I and Jimin greeted Mr. and Mrs. Park Jimin's brother Ji Hyun was with them too. We greeted the Park family inside.
" How are you dear? Is everything proceeding fine? Mrs. Park asked.
" Yes, mom everything is going exceptionally well thanks for asking. How are you?
"I am doing well too dear." She grinned sweetly.
Mr. Park also greeted me.
" Hello, Noona!!!" Jihyun said and suddenly embraced me. I was startled a bit but then clasped him back. His action didn't go neglected by jimin but he just ignored it.
We talked for a bit in the living room but then after some time, we led the way to the dining room to have dinner.
At the dining table:
" So..... how's the food mom and dad? " I asked
" Chaeyoung Sweetie... I loved it your taste is the same as our family's taste there is no distinction at all. I adore it."
"Yeah, we too." Mr. Park and JiHyun said.
"Jimin? Won't you say anything about it?" asked Mr. Park.
He just hummed, nodded, and said
" yeah, it's just satisfactory."
Chaeyoung just showed a small smile. After eating, Chaeyoung served tea and Mrs. Park questioned
"So... Is there a baby coming up?"
I was just horrified and Jimin choked on his tea.
"Mom we don't have any plans about the baby yet." He said
" You guys better plan and produce something fast. I am getting too old for these things and nobody cares about me." Mrs. Park said dramatically wiping her fake or more like invisible tears.
"Mom... just not now but soon ." Jimin tried to get rid of the chatter as soon as possible and tried to change the topic by discussing some important business matter with his father and Ji Hyun as he is the one running such a huge business. No.1 of South Korea. While Chaeyoung just conversed with Mrs. Park about some random things like shopping, jewelry, different brands, and much more.
Third person's POV
Both Jimin nor Chae Young didn't even give the slightest hint which could reveal that things between them are not working out Both of them tried to conceal it as much as possible and were successful in doing so.
It was a formidable time after all. As the couple would bring up some husband-wife things and both of them tried to dodge them as much as they could. Jihyun was being so touchy with Chaeyoung and Jimin was witnessing it and dismissing it continuously. He was about to stop him but saw that she was equally enjoying the conversation so he just tried to shrug it off and focus on his father's words more.
The Park family finally decided to leave as it was getting late. They were bidding goodbye when Ji Hyun hugged Chae young and to Jimin's surprise she didn't startle this time but embraced him back too with the same feeling but both did that only as brother and sister. Jimin also didn't say anything because he doesn't want her to have the wrong idea about any sort both of them escorted the family outside and they left.
