The Demon Corps
It's a mercenary group ran by the demons, the demons invade human territory, whether that be a small village, a town or maybe even a city. After invading and killing most of the population in the territory, they keep whoever they think is useful alive and turn them into slaves.
Those slaves are then forced to become mercenaries, just so they can survive. They can say no to the jobs, if they are willing to sacrifice the money they could've earned, but at some point they will cut you off if you don't do a good enough job.
A lot of people tend to commit suicide after about a year of enslavement, but if they do see potential in you they will give you more riskier jobs with higher rewards. And if there is a person that really gets their attention then they will send them out to the most dangerous job, which is.....

The reward of this is not only money that can last for a lifetime but......
