The three got onto their plane and found their seats, Murray and Joyce seated next to each other, and Jess luckily with her last minute ticket just across from them on the other row.

"Did she believe you?" Joyce whispered to Murray.

"What?"

"Did she believe you? Jess. When you told her about Hopper?"

"What do you think? She's a Hopper." Joyce smiled to herself as she looked over to Jess with her eyes closed with her headphones on and her walkman playing.

"Do you think he is?"

"This makes me nervous that you're asking me this seeing as you're the one that practically dragged me here to come with you."

"But you got her involved. That's why I didn't want to bring her because if the slightest possibility that he isn't alive I would have put her through all that hope just to be disappointed and heartbroken again. I've done enough to hurt her and I don't want to do anything else to hurt her, or I fear she'll never forgive me."

"You're blaming me then?"

"You're focusing on the wrong bit!" Joyce sighed.

"All I hear is 'this is all your fault Murray.'"

"Well that's apparently all you hear from me so.."

"Because you don't like me."

"I do like you."

"Not like you like Jess.... well I hope you don't like me like you like Jess." Murray smirked.

"You're disgusting." Joyce sighed as she shook her head.

"Excuse sweetheart my seat's next to you." Jess took her headphones off as she let the elderly lady move across to her seat beside her. "Sorry about that."

"No it's all fine."

"You travelling alone."

"No, I'm travelling with my friends." Jess points to Joyce and Murray who were bickering with each other like 5 year olds.

"Oh I bet you're the third wheel wherever you go with them." The lady chuckled as Jess scoffed in disbelief unable to control her laughter.

"What them?... Actually yeah. They feel bad for me since my husband left me, but they don't realise that spending time with them is making me jealous of their wonderful marriage." Jess spoke as seriously as she could, finding the whole situation amusing as she started to listen to her music again, unable to wipe the smile off her face.

When the plane landed she still had a wide smile showing on her face, as everyone was collecting their bags, Jess already with hers standing behind Joyce and Murray taking their bags from the cabinets above their seats.

"Have a nice trip dear, and remember escape whenever they get too much for you, I suggest the nearest bar." The lady patted Jess on the back as Joyce and Murray turned their heads to Jess.

"I will thank you, you've been wonderful company." Jess waved off the woman as Murray took their final bag down.

"What was that about?" Murray furrowed his eyebrows.

"Nothing. Come on then Mr and Mrs Bauman don't want to miss all the taxis." Jess chuckled to herself as she walked off the plane leaving Joyce and Murray in a pure state of confusion.
