The majority of the day went by smoothly with little contact with Namjoon. He had sent a few emails to Kate which were strictly professional, much to her relief. It appeared he was playing along. She hadn't given their agreement much thought during the day, instead being busy with the many reports and other tasks she had on her list to get done. She barely had time for lunch, let alone taking a few moments to think about anything other than work. It seemed that Namjoon was in a similar position, which, when Kate finally had time to think about it, allowed her to relax and think maybe this would work after all.
She was about to shut down her computer for the day when a call came through her work phone. Looking at the caller ID on the display, she saw it was Namjoon.
"Hi, Mr. Kim, can I help you?" She was proud of herself for sounding professional.
"Hi Kate, can you please come into my office? There is something that I need to go over with you on one of these spreadsheets that you sent earlier." She chewed her lower lip, mulling over his words. "It can't wait until tomorrow." He continued when she didn't respond. She sighed before speaking.
"Sure thing. Be right there." She hung up and immediately made her way to his office. Since it was after closing time, there were not many people still hanging about the office. Most had left an hour or so ago. As she headed to see Namjoon, she wondered which spreadsheet he had an issue with. She had gone over all of them with a fine-toothed comb before sending them along so she wasn't sure what she had missed. By the time she made it to his office, she was completely perplexed.
"You wanted to see me?" she asked, knocking on the door frame before entering.
"Yes, and please close the door behind you." Namjoon replied, not looking up from his computer screen while his fingers flew across the keyboard. She hesitated slightly before doing so, then walked over to sit at the chair in front of his desk, waiting for him to finish.
As he clicked the key to send the email he had been composing, he looked up at her. The look in his eyes told her he had no intention of doing anything remotely related to work. He smirked before sliding his chair back and crooking his finger in a "come here" motion.
She should have known better. This was a ruse to get her to come to his office for some play time.
"Namjoon, we are still at the office and...."
"It's after hours. Most everyone has gone home and those who remain will be leaving shortly. Come over here. Or do I need to physically do it for you?" He asked, raising a brow.
She wasn't sure how long she sat there contemplating her next move. She had agreed that they could be together after hours. But they were still at the office. She didn't want to do this in the office. She made that perfectly clear this morning. Didn't she?
"Kate...?" He warned, as he began to rise from his chair. Against her better judgement, she got out of hers and moved around his desk and stood in front of him. His hands moved immediately to her waist, caressing her through her skirt. He gently nudged her, so her backside touched his desk. He lifted her slightly, so she sat on it and the papers he had been working on.
"Namjoon, I thought we agreed..."
"It's after hours." He repeated, cutting her off. He wasn't going to let her off so easily. "You created the rules, Kate. I've abided by them all day." He stood up, bringing his hands up her arms, to her neck and up to her face, rubbing his thumbs along her cheeks. "Now, it's play time, and I won't take no for an answer," he whispered in her ear before leaving a kiss just underneath it.
She all but moaned her response as her hands reached for his shirt. He smirked into her neck. Were they really going to do this? Here? Now? She thought she had made it clear that she didn't want to do this at the office. At all. Ever. It was just too risky. But now that she was here and he was leaving sexy kisses along her neck, she was beginning to lose her resolve.
