The door opened and closed as Y/N walked through, carrying bags filled with groceries. The sound of the door shutting was accompanied by the noise of the bags hitting the floor.

"Love, i'm home!" Y/Ns voice echoed throughout the house

"Ok!" Her significant other replied, making his way to the kitchen

Y/N began sorting through the bags, putting them in their correct places in the fridge. Her attention was taken by Kurapikas presence entering the room. Y/N put what she had in her hand before turning to face the man.

"Hello darling, how was it?" He said to the woman, walking over to her as he spoke

"It was fine, though the check-out stands were mobbed." She replied as he planted a kiss on her forehead

Kurapika then sat down next to her, helping put the groceries away as well. Soon enough, they had finished putting the bags in their places and the bags were put in recycling.

"Thanks for the help." Y/N said with a smile

"Your welcome." He spoke, giving her back the same smile

A silence filled the kitchen before Y/N made it fade away "I was wondering, since it is so beautiful out today..maybe we could go on a picnic?"

Kurapika looked out the window, observing the scenery before replying "Sure, that sound like a great idea."

Kurapika trailed off into the bedroom, grabbing a fluffy blanket from the bed. He then folded it to the shape of a square before walking back into the kitchen.

"Here is a blanket for us to sit on." He said, laying it down on the floor next to her

She glanced at it before looking back at the basket she had gotten to carry the food in.

"Luckily I just went food shopping so now we have fresh food to eat." She cheered, giggling at her statement

Once she packed all the food into the basket, she put the blanket on top to make sure nothing fell out. She stood up, closing the fridge door once again.

"Ready to go, darling?" Kurapika asked her

"Yep..!"she replied, her lips forming a grin

Before they had left the house, she grabbed her favorite sunhat from off the rack and placed it on her head. Just then, they shut the front door and locked it, slipping the key in his pocket. As they walked to the park, they just made small chat. They decided to walk to the park since it wasn't too far away from their cottage.

Finally, they walked on a crosswalk and got to the park, the cars passing quickly behind them. Kurapika held the woman's hand; his eyes scanning the park for a place to sit and enjoy their day.

Once spot caught his eye he said "Darling come on, I found a spot for us to sit."

"Ok..!" she respond cheerfully as he gently guided her to the spot

The spot was in the shade of a beautiful cherry blossom tree who was soaking in the sunlight. Even though the tree was covering the spot from the sunlight, splotches of the suns ray bled through the branches and the flowers that dangled from them. As they got to the spot, Y/N pulled out the blanket from the basket and sprawled it out on the olive green colored grass. Y/N sat the basket down on the blanket, and then did the same with herself, to which Kurapika joined her on the blanket.

As they stared out at the field, the end of their hair tickled their cheeks from the gust of wind. Y/N played her head on his shoulder, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. They both stayed still, letting each others body warmth soaking into their bodies. Y/N then sat up, making Kurapika look at her confused. She began to pick multiple little flowers from the soil, putting them onto the blanket as she did.

Once she had picked all that she needed, she began to intertwine their stems as if she was braiding hair. In the end, she created a flower crown and placed it on top of Kurapikas head.

"aww you look so handsome~" Y/N cooed

Soon they both began to giggle with one another, the crown shifted ever so slightly on his head.

"I love it." he said to her, making her smile

As the day past, they chatted and ate. Kurapika had been sucked in his job working for the Nostrade family, but now he seemed so carefree. Now it was night and the grass that was once so light was consumed by the darkness. The only light was from the moon.

They began to eat pumpkin pie, cutting it up into slices and putting them onto little plates with silverware.

"This tastes wonderful, thank you love." Kurapika said after swallowing a piece of pie

"No problem sweetheart." Y/N said back, stuffing her face with pie

When they ate half of the pie they put it back into the picnic basket where it was before. As it had gotten late, they decided to spend the last moments of this blissful time together. They both played down on the blanket, looking up at the stars that complimented the black sky. Though the darkness has covered the scenery in it's color, the moons illumination shined on the objects beneath it. Stars decorated the sky, painting it with individuality and beauty.

They watched the clouds drift by in the endless night sky. They both admired the sky, as if it was a piece of art being shared with the world, forming unity. How well the stars complemented each shape that moved in the sky was almost surreal. Y/N mainly stared at it, the glimmering star assisted the moon illuminate the clouds as well as bits of the sky. Kurapikas grey colored eyes followed her gaze, now admiring then glimmering star that stood out from the rest.

The sound of crickets filled their ears, distracting the two just for a bit. Though, the sound was drowned out by the symphony of Kurapikas voice.

"Hey darling?" he spoke, not taking his eyes off the figure

"Yes?" she replied, turning her head to face him

Kurapika sat up, Y/N mimicked his motion and sat up as well. They both stared into one another's eyes, inching closer to each other. The mans breathing hitched, letting out a sigh, though neither broke eye contact.

"I love you" he finally said

"I love you too" she replied, inching closer once again

Their eyelids shut and their lips met, sharing a passionate kiss. The crickets seemed to go silent as the heat in their bodies rose. As Y/N leaned back, Kurapika leaned forward, as if their bodies were one. They continued to kiss before they pulled away due to air, a string now only attaching their lips. They exhailed and inhailed, they lungs being filled with air with every breath.

Y/N layed on his lap, staring up at him and then the sky. Their eyes met once again for the final time before Y/Ns eyelids grew heavy, soon shutting and engulfing her into a world of sleep.

"Good night, darling. I do truly love you." he spoke
