Y/n could not believe her eyes. El was standing there. Right in front of them. After nearly a year of not knowing what the heck happened to her, she was standing in y/n's living room. Dressed as a punk for some reason.

"Y/n." El said and hugged her. Y/n hugged her back immediately. El had grown a bit taller then her, y/n noticed as they hugged.

El hugged Mike and y/n quickly started asking the questions she's been wondering about for nearly a year.

"Where have you been? We thought you were dead. How come you didn't let us know you were okay?"

"Because I wouldn't let her." Hopper spoke up. "The hell is this? Where've you been?" He asked El.

"Where've you been?" El asked him with a bit of attitude but they still hugged.

"You've been hiding her this whole time?" Mike asked him as if it was the most ridiculous thing he had heard.

"The more people know about her the more danger she's in." Hopper said but neither Mike it y/n has time to argue as Dustin and Lucas came up to hug El just as he finished his sentence.

"We missed you." Lucas said.

"We talked about you pretty much everyday." Said Dustin.

El looked at Dustin weirdly for a second before saying "Teeth. You have teeth." And grabbing at them.

"Oh. You like these pearls?" Dustin said and purred.

"Oh my god." Y/n muttered while Lucas shook his head.

"Eleven?" Max questioned as she walked over to the group.

"Hey, I'm Max. I've heard a lot about you." Max said and stuck out her hand for El to shake. El ignored her completely and walked passed her and hugged Joyce.

"Can I see him?" El asked obviously referring to Will.

Y/n went with El and her mother to check on Will since she hadn't gone herself for a while.

"He's not doing well." Joyce said as they walked into the room.

"I know." Said El. "I saw."

"What else did you see?" Y/n asked, curiously.

El turned to look at her. "The gate." She answered.

Y/n and Joyce took El back out to the kitchen and showed her the Morsecode Will did.

"You opened this gate before, right?" Joyce asked El.

"Yes." El answered and nodded.

"Do you think if we got you back there, that you could close it?"

El struggled to answer. Everyone began to crowd where Joyce, El and y/n were around the table.

"It's not like it was before it's grown. A lot and I mean that's considering we can get in there. The place is crawling with those dogs." Hopper spoke up.
