Marcel is continuously reading the legend about The Cursed Prince by the window pane of his house.
He suddenly hears a horn honking outside his house.
His mom is back.
"Mom's back! I need to open the gate."
He then goes outside to assist his mom in parking their mini-truck.
"Mom, you're home!" Cries Marcel as he embraces her tightly.
"Yes." Emmita gives his son a faint reply.
Marcel notices that something doesn't feel right.
"Mom? Is there anything wrong?"
"I am going to explain everything. But first, I need your help in fixing my clothes."
"Clothes? You're leaving again? Where? How long?"
"Come with me."
They both proceed in Emmita's bedroom.
Emmita begins packing her clothes.
She then explains her situation with The Cursed Prince, and why she needs to go back to his castle the next day.
"The Cursed Prince is real?" Marcel asks.
Emmita simply nods.
"This is crazy. Today, I was just reading about the legend. He's actually a real creature."
"And probably a dangerous one. Marcel, I can't risk your life."
"But mom-"
"He threatened to come after us if I don't go with my agreement with him."
"But mom, I don't want to be alone."
"You won't. Cain is there to take care of you."
Marcel starts being emotional.
"Go live your life. Be with him. Forget me."
"No mom! I can't let you do this!"
"So what do you suggest we should do? I doubt that we could actually stop him."
Marcel then contemplates for a moment while fighting back his tears.
"I'll go."
"No!"
"I'll take your place mom. I'll be the prince's chambermaid. You're not getting any younger, and you already have too much going on with your plate. Let me do this, for you. For us."
"But Marcel-"
"I'll try to find a way to compromise with him. Let me stay there for a few weeks. Who knows, maybe if he sees me doing a good job, he'll let me go. I'll be with you again."
"Marcel, I don't want you to do this."
"But I want to. I'm the reason why you got into this."
Emmita is both emotional and reluctant about her son's determination.
"I promise, I'll find a way to get back to you."
Emmita starts crying.
Marcel starts letting go of his tears as well.
The both of them embrace before the arrival of the next day.
