Chapter 3 Pregnant?!

Pete POV

I woke up to the light of the room and noise coming from the same person. I feel fine but I saw next to me that there's a dextrose attached to me.

That's when I realized that I was in the hospital and my friend Tankhun was currently talking to his husband, Dr. Top. They are both betas.

"What do you mean there is an abnormality in Pete's body? I don't understand you." Tankhun said.

He turned his back to me that's why he didn't know that I was awake yet.

"Then I'll explain everything when the patient is awake." said Dr. Top in a formal way. Dr. Top is very professional and does not allow his work and private life to mix.
When Dr. Top left, Tankhun suddenly sat next to me.

"Huh! That doctor is really grumpy! It's a good thing he's my husband, if not, I already choked him!" he said. I just laughed, which caught Tankhun's attention.

Because Tankhun was the first to like Dr. Top and he was also the first to propose. I just don't know how Tankhun was able to get Dr Top to marry him.

"PETE!!" he exclaimed. At any rate, Tankhun's loud voice is out of place.

"Tone it down, Khun-no. We're in the hospital, you're disturbing the other patients."- I said. Tankhun got roll his eyes and went back to sitting.

"Excuse me, no one can hear us here because this is a VIP room, you know. By the way, do you remember anything that happened to you yesterday? I saw you burning with fever in your room so I immediately brought you here to the hospital. They already checked you and they are just waiting for you to wake up so they can tell you the results."

"Thank you." - I said. "I'll just call Dr Top so he can tell you your results, ok? We'll talk later." I nodded in response. He left the room and I was left alone.

I remembered what happened yesterday. Vegas and I had sex. We had a one night stand. What did I think and I agreed to what he wanted to happen? I know it's wrong but I let my feelings control me.

I sighed.

Should I tell Oak about this? I'm sure it will make him angry and my family will disown me when they find out that I had sex with the eldest son of the minor family who is my twin's boyfriend. What am I going to do? Vegas's family might even have me salvaged.

Speaking of Vegas, how is he doing now? Is he drinking again? Has he eaten? Is someone taking care of him now? When Oak was here, they were always together, so now that Oak is gone I don't know how he is doing.

I was in the middle of thinking about Vegas when suddenly Dr. Top came in followed by Tankhun.

"It's good you wake up Pete, how are you feeling?" asked Dr. Top.

"It's ok doc. I feel a little better and my headache is gone" - I replied.

"That's good because you need to know something. It's important to prepare yourself for the changes in your body." said Dr. Top. I was confused by what he said.

"What Doc? Please explain my situation properly to me now." I said

" This might be embarrassing since you find out as a male beta. It will only be accurate when the blood test comes out but it seems that you have Ictus Syndrome."-Dr. Top

*Ictus Syndrome: Pheromone gland development decreases due to abnormal pituary gland.

" This very few situation happens and can be difficult when it did. It usually happens during heat."- he continued.

I can't react to what I'm hearing right now. Since I was a child, I grew up as a beta and only my twin was an omega. So, does Dr. Top mean that I'm also an omega? Am I capable of getting pregnant?

" Then, I am an Omega?" I asked

" It is more accurate to say that you were an omega from the beginning. However, you manifested late. From now on, you will have a monthly check up just like what omega people do. You will drink heat suppressants and birth control pills if ever. We should contact your family for them to know your situation and guide you since this is your first. And may I include that in 2 weeks, you will have your first heat. Your sudden heat before was because you were exposed of an alpha's rut right?"

Dr. Top explained to me continuously. I was surprised by the last thing he said. Dr. Top is really smart.

I just nodded in response. Tankhun's face couldn't be painted with what he knew. He was holding his mouth while the other was on his waist. His eyes almost bulged in surprise. Even I was surprised by what I heard.

Yesterday I was just a beta, but now I'm an omega. I don't know what I should react and feel because my mind is blank right now.

"It's a good thing you're not pregnant." - Dr. Top

"Huh?!!!" Tankhun shouted. It's like he's going crazy with what he knows about me.

" You had an intercourse with an alpha with a rut. There is a 90% chance that an omega will get pregnant when that happens. So Pete, if you're not ready to start a family yet, it's better to take contraceptives." Dr. Top.

Tankhun and I just stared at each other while he had big eyes looking at me. I just held tightly to the blanket because of the emotions building up in my chest. What do I do now?

Vegas...what am I going to do?
