Ellis and I heard our mom call for us from downstairs
He quickly grabbed his remote and turned off the TV.
Ellis and I spoke in sync: "We'll be down in a minute"
I opened the door and the both of us ran down the stairs and into the living room.
Our mom had brought some Chinese food for dinner tonight. She also brought some Korean chicken from our aunt's wing place not too far away from our house.
Our mom put the food down and ran to us. She hugged me first and patted my back gently.
Mom: "Vous m'avez manqué tous les deux. Avez-vous été sages aujourd'hui ?"
Translation- I missed you both. Have you been good today?
Ellis and I respond: "Oui maman, comment était le travail ?"
Yes mom, how was work?
Mom: "Très bien. Va te laver pour pouvoir manger."
Very well. Go wash up so you can eat.
We both head upstairs. Ellis goes to his room, and I go to mine. My room wasn't far away from his. It's just a bit further down the hallway.
