After I picked up my phone, I was about to stand back up when I could see a shadow covering me.
Someone was standing over me. When I stood back up, I took a glance at my phone to make sure it wasn't broken.
Chloe stood there with her daily Starbucks in her right hand, and her cheer bag in the other.
Chole: "Nice to see you again"
Aurelia: "Yeah, it's been a while. How have you been?"
Chloe: "I've been alright. Just got a job."
Aurelia: "that's good! Where do you work"
Chloe: "A place not too far from here. I work night shifts. Ya knows, to stop the hag from nagging"
Aurelia: "Ah, I understand. How is he by the way?"
Chloe: "He's gotten worse. Meds are too pricy nowadays. My mom left us again. So, I'm on my own"
Aurelia: "Sorry you have to restart to the beginning again. I'm sure you'll push through."
Chloe: "Yeah, hope so too."
She gave a little smile and took another sip from her coffee. I unlocked my phone and checked my schedule.
Lunchtime and Den
Mrs. Lights was my den teacher. My schedule is a little messed up since I had to change classes. She would've been my history teacher instead of Ms. Snider.
I've heard rumors about Ms. Lights. She's a popular teacher in our school. Very liked by students. Hopefully, I have a good experience with her like the others.
A tall blonde guy walked up to Chloe and me. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her cheek, before whispering something in her ear.
Chloe looked back up at me and she rolled her eyes.
Chloe: "Time for me to buzz. Catch ya later"
Aurelia: "Okay, have a good rest of the day!"
Chloe: "Mhm.."
She locked her hands with the guy and they both walked off into the crowd of people.
*During Lunch*
Monte: "This turkey sandwich tastes like puke."
Aurelia: "It's the ghetto, not Hollywood"
Monte: "I know. All this money we pay for this school and the food still taste like ass.
She said while eating a Taki. I looked at everyone in the room. So people were getting their trays, others walking to where their gonna sit at.
I noticed how people were sitting in groups. Guys on the RCHS Football team were sitting together with their girlfriends. Cheerleaders were sitting in front of the football team tables.
Most of the Cheerleaders were their girlfriends anyways 🥱
Then there I was Video gamers, LGBTQ+ Group, Ghetto group, Rich kids, Nerdie but have friends group, and of course, some people weren't even there. Probably just skipping.
Nah they getting their pies filled if u kno what I mean 💀✌️
I looked back at Monte, and I saw her staring at me. She stopped chewing her food, and her eyes were stuck on me.
I lifted my brows at her and looked confused. She pointed at me with her pinky. I saw a shadow lingering behind me, and I slowly turned around.
