It was about two in the morning when Clarke goes to talk to Hope in her room. He knocks but receives no answer so he invites himself in. He sees Hope sitting beside her window looking outside while smoking.
"I didn't knew you smoke." Clarke breaks the silence.
"And I didn't knew you were a human." She replies sarcastically making him sigh.
"I know I should've told you and I am sorry for that Hope." Clarke says.
"I trusted you Clarke! I thought that maybe you deserves a chance to prove yourself but you lied to me." Hope says
"I......I am sorry." Clarke says looking down.
"Why didn't you tell me the truth?" Hope asks.
"Because I couldn't believe it myself." Clarke says looking at her and she notices his eyes glistening.
"It is a big deal for me Hope. Being human. For all my life I was treated like shit from my father because I wasn't what he wanted me to be. And just because I had no choice but to do his bidding, I did what he told me to. Hope he made me do things I never would've thought in my worst nightmares and now I am human and free of him. And it was so surreal that until you pointed it out I didn't believed it to be true." Clarke says with his voice cracking.
Hope sighs understanding his point of view and realised that it meant much more that she imagined. She holds his hand and squeezes it.
"Strangely I understand. Just promise me you won't do it again." Hope says.
"What hide things from you? Hope I promise I won't." Clarke replies.
"So do you know how did it happen?" Hope asks.
"You remember the ferryman I told you about?" Clarke asks.
"The one who told you about me being the balance. Yeah." Hope replies.
"So when I was about to be here, in this timeline, he said that I need to be able to help you and I can't do it when I am a puppet to Malivore so he did something and my whole body glowed? I don't know what he did but I felt excruciating pain and the next thing I know I am here. Honestly I took me three days to realise, that too when I accidently cut myself." He replies.
"That's weird. So you are now human?" Hope asks
"Half human, half mud, I think. I don't know." He replies as they both chuckle.
"Hey by the way, you spell worked." He says.
"What?!" Hope says shocked.
"Yeah your spell to find Malivore, it worked. You should see the map." Clarke says and Hope jumps to run to his room to see the map as he follows her.
"This is amazing." Hope says astonished.
"I guess blood is thicker than mud." Clarke smirks as Hope gives him a deadpan look.
"We should go and finish this." Hope says as she starts to leave.
"Woah woah woah! Where are you going?" Clarke asks.
"To kill Malivore." Hope replies in a duh tone.
"Oh yeah?! What's the plan?" He asks.
"We go and kill him!" Hope says hesitantly.
"That sounded a lot better in my mind." She cringes.
"You are not going anywhere near that mud without a proper plan. You hear me?" Clarke says.
"I definitely can't kill Malivore right now because I am not a full tribrid." Hope says pondering on her choices until he eyes light up and Clarke groans.
