Flashback
It was a stormy night. i was awake, dreams wonderous ones turning into nightmares hard times.
i went to the hall and to my most calming spot; the window near the couch. i watched the gloomy sky, the wet grounds and listening to the water hitting the ground such peaceful view. It was just a week to my father's birthday. i heard he had a sickness of the scarlet fever a very deadly disease with no cure. My mom and i were not exactly told about that but still i had nightmares of my father being very sick. back in utsira we don't have many diseases but this was new so the doctors didn't knew much either.William: hey! your supposed to be in bed now.. nightmare?
L: mm... i.
W: you know you can tell me anything right? i am **coughs
your dad
L: no i would like to be left alone and get some water.
W: no i am fine.
he sat next to me and held me for a hug.. i sat there not being able to move.. or cry; visions from my dream rushed into my mind. tears slided off my eyes as the rain drops slide in the window glass. i started shaking a bit and my father held me for a much tighter embrace. that was it i cried.
L: horrible dream, i .. i sa..w you d.dd..dead in a coffin.. mom crying and i am left alone helplessly.. not wanting to cry trying to be bold like ..you said.. but then it is like ... i fell into a pit ..and i woke up.. it felt all real ... like something that can never be destroyed; memory or what if it is the future i don't want to fall i don't want to be alone.
W: ............................ * he did not utter a word the silence was intense
and i looked up seeing him all torn up. he walked up to the desk in his bed room. he came back with a book.
W: this is my journel and you know how much of a animal admirer. this is my book of collecting a small fur or feather of the animal. i want you to collect more and stick them here. look after the book. there are um. some special creatures that i want you to find a snake skin. i already have its fang but i need the skin and.. a red..
L: why are you telling me this now? i mean i am talking about my nightmare and you jus...
W: see dear you should know i am not going to be with you always.. i might be just in your past and see this feather. its from a black swan and the bird would not be clinging on to this feather and be sorrowing all its life. it is just one feather in its life it has many more with it and yet to come the feather is now in the past and past is to be eradicated otherwise you can't focus on what's coming.
L: what do you mean by that?
W: i have a uncurable disease and in a day or two it will start to spread so i might have to stay away.
L: ........ but who will take care of you? what
W: mum doesn't exactly know what it is but she will be keeping an eye on me for sure she will know when she will...
The park
T: hello? you okay? are you day dreaming?
i was snapped back by thomas. i wasn't able to say a word but i did say
L: sorry. i have .. umm i .. um not good i.. uh heading home.
and i just ran my way to the mansion.
L: mom!! *i shouted and the maids came rushing i ignored them and kept shouting
C: hey! finished your class so soon?
L: don't mind about my class where are going? why you all dressed up?
C: we are having a ladies meeting! you can now come too
L: ohh!!! a meeting . * i was being too sarcastic
C: well we do have some *clears the throat. drinks.
L: drinks ? mom you were sick this morning!
C: oh i am all fine dear it's alright its been long here with my friends so..
L: no! your not going anywhere. cancel this party and please for once why won't you have tea parties and things like that?
C: i am your mother and you can't order me like that. and you are coming to that party!
L: you don't behave like a mother. it was all father who helped from my nightmares not you. you only order me to stuff and how i should be. you were never the good mother! and i am not taking part in any of your nonsence!
and with that i left for park again! i know my words would have hurt her but i know her too much that i know she wouldn't react much. she will be going to the party and maybe who knows host more parties. i sat near the pond in a bench. watching Thomas, emily and jack from a long distance so they don't see me. They looked worried.
