Earth 824's Green Lantern Hal Jordan

Beware My Power!

Hours before, Kilowag and the other Lanterns prepare for war. The guardians return from their trip to Qward and Sinestro meets with them privately. 

Sinestro:

Do you have it?

 They present to Sinestro the weapon capable of harnessing the power of fear.

Ganthet:

As promised, the first Yellow Lantern ring, forged by the Qwardians. 

    Sinestro:

The Qwardians..? Did you destroy their lives too?

    He scoffed at them. 

    Appa Ali Apsa:

Be warned Sinestro, for whoever controls fear will be lost in its madness.

Sinestro, not understanding and not caring, has only one objective right now, “destroy the Red Lantern Corps.” 

Sayd:

We advise that you don’t use it until you are away from Oa.

Sinestro grabbed the ring, hastily, and put it on. The Guardians were stunned by his immediate action. They tried to stop him because of the effects it could have on Oa. 

Upon putting on the ring Sinestro immediately collapses in agony. Its power is too strong for him to handle and its madness has planted a seed in his mind, sealing his fate, forever holding his place in the history of Earth 824. 

Naturally an event like this wouldn’t go unnoticed. Sinestro, activating the ring, created a powerful energy blast that acts as some kind of beacon to the universe. A singular yellow beam in the legions of green. The event was so powerful that it affected the power and energy of the Lanterns on Oa, weakening it momentarily. 

Most of the Lanterns were taken aback by the energy loss, a number of them already getting injured and or killed because they were flying high when Sinestro put his ring on. Some were called in to help Sinestro, who was put into the care of Tomar-Re. Although his powers weren’t affected by the surge, he suffered from the mysterious side effects caused by the Yellow Lantern ring. He spoke gibberish and was unable to move on his own. He shut his eyes and screamed in pain. He bled through every orifice on his body. Now not only did the Lanterns lose one of their best but they are also very vulnerable. And the Reds knew.

It all happened so fast… 

In a flash a massive red portal opens over Oa and out of it flies legions of Red Lanterns. The Greens are taken aback as they weren’t expecting for the attack to happen so quickly. 

    Kilowog:

All right, lanterns give them everything you got! Do not hold back!

Green and red energy just flew at each other, sometimes bouncing off of one another. Large arrays of brightly colored constructs scattered the space outside of Oa. The skies were covered in Red as the war raged on. Beings from both factions were dropping like flies, red and green rings zooming away from their holders. 

A powerful burning red beam is launched at a group of Green Lanterns. It blows up in between them, disintegrating their bodies to ash. Hundreds of Greens are slaughtered.

Kilowog sees a fellow Green Lantern in the path of a massive red throwing hammer. Being the hero he is he saves that Lantern, but at a cost. Kilowog is knocked out cold, almost as if the hit killed him. Thank god for his quick reflexes as he created a shield, strong enough to stall the impact of the blast.

The Lantern he saved returned the favor by rescuing him and getting him to safety. He notices the beacon on his belt beeping. When he goes to answer it he hears Hal calling for Kilowog.
