It's Wednesday so I get up and ready for school as usual. But I do feel like wearing a dress today, so I do just that. My mom sewed me a new plaid yellow dress to wear. I use a straightener to curl up the ends of my hair. I do my normal makeup and go downstairs.

I eat with my family, then Nancy drives Robin and I to school. On the drive I say, "Nancy is it alright if you pick me, El, and Max up tomorrow morning? They're sleeping over tonight. If not, I'll just walk with them anyway so it's cool."

Nancy says, "Yeah I can drive you all. We can call it a girls morning drive party." "We need to work on that name," Robin laughs. We get to school and we sit in the car for a while. It's 7:40 so we still have 20 minutes till school starts.

As I'm talking to Robin on why peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are great, there's a knock on the window. We all turn to see what's going on. Of course, it's Eddie. He's smiling and waving at me through the glass. I tell the girls, "Bye, see you two later." I get out of the car and shut the door behind me.

Eddie says, "Hi princess." I say, "Hey Eddie." He says, "Sorry, did I bother you with your friends?" I nod, "Yes, we were talking about the economic and political state of the world." He blankly stares at me and I laugh, "Just kidding. What's up?"

He says, "I just saw you through the window and wanted to say hi, walk to class together maybe?" I nod, "Sure, let's go inside." We walk side by side into the school and to my locker. I open it and start hanging some photos I have.

He asks, "What are all those photos for?" I shrug, "I have a polaroid and I thought they'd make cute decorations for my locker. To make it a little bit more special." I use tape to tape them on the inner locker door. Eddie watches and says, "Is there any with me?"

I say, "Um I don't think so. I have some with my parents, Nancy, Robin, the kids, and Steve." "Steve?" Eddie repeats. I nod, "Yeah, I work with him." He says, "Oh, yeah, I almost forgot you work there." I say, "I haven't since I go so often. Even when I don't work, sometimes I just go visit him." "Why," Eddie asks.

I shrug, "I just hang out with Steve if there's no customers. And even when there are customers, he talks to me anyway." Eddie says, "If you ever need someone to hangout with, I'm free." "I see you everyday at school, the weekends are my fresh breath of air from you," I laugh, but he pouts.

I say, "Ok, I'm sorry. I was just kidding. But we do see each other a lot anyway." He says, "I like seeing you as often as I can. So seriously, if you're looking to hangout with anyone, call me." I nod, "I will keep it in mind next time I go outside. Ever since I moved to Hawkins, I've been seeing my friends more. So that's a good thing about the move."

He says, "I'm glad you're here. Your presence makes this miserable town bearable." I smile, "I'm glad we came here." He says, "Do you have your polaroid with you right now?" I look through my bag, "Yeah I do, why-" He takes it from my hand and wraps his arm around my shoulder. He says, "Smile!"

He takes a photo of us and I say, "I probably look horrible in that Eddie!" I get the camera back from him and he says, "You always look great. If anything, I'd look like shit." The photo comes out and I whip it around to process it or whatever.

Once the photo appears I look at it sighing, "Eddie, I look like garbage." He looks at the photo, "You look pretty, look at that nice smile." I put the camera back in my bag and said, "You're lucky because I weirdly like the photo. I might look bad, but that's ok."

He takes the photo from me and tapes it onto my locker, in the center. He says, "You look pretty princess. Now let's go to class since you have a photo with me." I nod, "Ok." Then I realized that Eddie's arm is still around my shoulder.
